Panagitsa ( el, Παναγίτσα) is a small stream in the south of the Patras area in northcentral Achaea, Greece. The source of the Panagitsa is on the western slope of the mountain Omplos, near Omplos Monastery. Paralia ( gr, Παραλία, ''Paralía'', meaning "beach") is a town and a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Patras, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 11.978 km2. It is a suburb of Patras, about 6 km southwest of the city centre. The town population is about 6,500. It was a popular beach resort for residents of Patras till mid '80s. Ovrya ( el, Οβρυά) is a town in Achaea, Greece. It is a suburb of Patras, located 6 km south of Patras city centre. It was the seat of the former municipality of Messatida. The Greek National Roads 9 (Patras - Pyrgos) and 33 (Patras - Tripoli) pass through the town. Ovrya is in the transition zone from the densely populated coastal area to the hills in the southeast, including Omplos. Messatida
Messatida ( el, Μεσσάτιδα) is a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Patras, of which it is a municipal unit. The seat of the municipality was in Ovrya. It is located south of Patras city centre, and stretches from the urbanized plains near the Gulf of Patras to the Omplos hills in the east. The population was 13,852 in 2011. It has an area of 66.366 km².
