The Panaad Park and Sports Complex(, sometimes spelled ''Pana-ad''), also known as the Panaad Park and Stadium or the Panaad Sports and Recreational Park, is a sports and recreational park in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines owned by the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental. It also hosts a sports complex with a stadium. The park is known as the main venue of the Panaad Festival since its establishment in the late 1990s. History The park was established following the completion of a sports complex built for the hosting of the 1998 Palarong Pambansa, which includes the Panaad Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan of Bacolod. The area was then made as the primary venue of the Panaad Festival which was previously held at the Capitol Park and Lagoon from 1993 to 1996, and at Bredco Port in 1997. Silay, Negros Occidental
Silay, officially the City of Silay ( hil, Dakbanwa/Syudad sang Silay; ceb, Dakbayan sa Silay; fil, Lungsod ng Silay), is a 3rd class component city in the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 130,478 people. It is part of the metropolitan area called Metro Bacolod, which includes the cities of Bacolod (the metropolitan center) and Talisay. The Panaad Stadium (), also sometimes spelled as Pana-ad, named after the park where the stadium is situated in, is a multi-purpose stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, Philippines. Panaad hosted various international sporting events particularly football when Bacolod co-hosted the 2005 Southeast Asian Games and the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualification against Mongolia. The Panaad sa Negros Festival, also called simply as the Panaad Festival (sometimes spelled as ''Pana-ad''), is a festival held annually during the month of April in Bacolod, the capital of Negros Occidental province in the Philippines. ''Panaad'' is the Hiligaynon word for "vow" or "promise" coming from the root-word ''saad''; the festival is a form of thanksgiving to Divine Providence and commemoration of a vow in exchange for a good life. The celebration is held at the Panaad Park, which also houses the Panaad Stadium, and is participated in by the 13 cities and 19 towns of the province.
