Pamman ( ml, പമ്മന്; 28 February 1920 – 3 June 2007; born R. Parmeswara Menon) was a Malayalam novelist from Kollam, Kerala, India. Life He is best known for his novels which grapple with the sensual imagery of the human psyche. He has also written the script for several Malayalam movies. Some of his novels were made into films, including '' Chattakari'' and ''Adimakal''. Chattakkari (1974 Film)
''Chattakkari'' () is a 1974 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan and produced by M. O. Joseph, starring Lakshmi (in her major Malayalam debut), Mohan Sharma, Adoor Bhasi and Sukumari . The film was written by Thoppil Bhasi based on Pamman's famous novel of the same name. It was the first Malayalam film of Lakshmi and also the start of her romance with co-star Mohan Sharma. It won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam for Lakshmi. The film won Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for Adoor Bhasi who played Laxmi's alcoholic father, and the Filmfare Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam. Kollam
Kollam (), also known by its former name Quilon , is an ancient seaport and city on the Malabar Coast of India bordering the Laccadive Sea, which is a part of the Arabian Sea.
