Pamela Flood
Pamela Ann Mary Flood (born 25 July 1971) is a former Irish television presenter and former model from Tallaght, South Dublin. She received the Miss Ireland crown in 1993. A former employee of Raidió Teilifís Éireann, she was at one time a well-recognised face on the broadcaster's television channels, having presented ''Off the Rails'', ''Marry Me'' and ''The Podge and Rodge Show''. She also made an appearance in the genealogy series '' Who Do You Think You Are?'', learning that her grandmother was an illegitimate child and that a deceased distant relative was accused of murdering her husband, but later found not guilty - over 160 years ago. She then went on to feature on ''Celebrity Showhouse'' broadcast on 29 December 2008. Career Flood worked as a continuity officer with national broadcaster RTÉ from 1997 to 2000, and was a presenter of Irish fashion television show ''Off the Rails'' for a number of years before receiving the axe in 2008. ''Anonymous'' was an Irish television series broadcast on RTÉ Two. Its concept was to disguise well-known personalities, with the use of prosthetic masks, bestow upon them a fake identity, and set them up in what were intended to be humorous situations for the sake of entertainment. Format and history ''Anonymous'' was presented by Jason Byrne, who also used a hidden microphone to communicate mischievous ideas via whispering to the disguised personality. It ran for five series, with the last series broadcast in 2009. Byrne was offered funding for a further season, but turned it down, stating that it was too hard to find people who didn't know of the show and therefore saw through the ruses (its sister program, ''Naked Camera'', did not help matters). ''Who Do You Think You Are?'' is an Irish genealogy documentary series that first aired on RTÉ One in 2008. It is made by the production company Mint. In each episode, a celebrity goes on a journey to trace his or her lineage through a family tree. The series is based on the original version of the franchise, broadcast by the BBC in the United Kingdom. A third series started on 9 September 2018 with six new episodes. Notable discoveries In the first episode, RTÉ news reporter Charlie Bird discovered his great-great-grandfather had been involved in the Battle of the Nile (1798) and served under Admiral Nelson himself, whilst Bird also discovered that his grandfather was a bigamist.
