Pallasgreen GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Pallasgreen/Templebraden parish in east County Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club was founded in 1887 and is a dual club fielding teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. Location The club is situated in the parish of Pallasgreen/Templebraden and is a member of the East Board of Limerick GAA. The club is centred on the villages of Pallasgreen, Old Pallas, Nicker and Barna. The parish is roughly 22 km southeast of Limerick City and just 8 km from the border with County Tipperary. Cappamore GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Cappamore in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is a member of the East Division of Limerick GAA. Limerick Junior Hurling Championship
The Limerick Junior Hurling Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Limerick GAA among the top hurling clubs in County Limerick. The winner qualifies to represent the county in the Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship. Apart from a few years when there was an Intermediate hurling Championship the Junior Hurling championship was the second most important hurling competition in Limerick. Limerick Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Limerick Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Limerick County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association for the third tier hurling teams in the county of Limerick in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at the Gaelic Grounds in October. The championship includes a group stage which is followed by a knock-out phase for the top teams. There is also promotion involving the Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship. South Liberties (Irish: ''Saor Theas'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is based in the parish of Donoughmore-Knockea-Roxboro, on the southern outskirts of Limerick City and is affiliated to the East Board of Limerick GAA. It is one of the oldest clubs in the country, founded in 1884, the same year as the GAA. South Liberties' home ground in Ballysheedy is called Dooley Park, in memory of one of the club's greatest players. Doon GAA
Doon GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club, founded in 1888. It is based in the village of Doon in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is part of the East Division of the Limerick GAA and has a tremendous record at underage level, but has yet to win a County Senior Hurling Championship. The club only plays hurling, but footballers in the parish play with neighbouring Oola. The manager is Austin Buckley. Location The club is located in the parish of Doon, mostly in County Limerick but also containing a few townlands in County Tipperary; these can play with the other club in the parish, Glengar, which is affiliated to the Tipperary GAA County Board. Caherline GAA (Irish: ''Cathair Laighin'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in County Limerick, Ireland. It is based in the parish of Caherline/Caherconlish in the east division of Limerick GAA. History The club was founded in 1884, making it one of the oldest clubs in county Limerick. The early years of the club were its most successful, winning the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship on three occasions; 1896, 1905 and 1907. Caherline also lost four county finals in this period; 1889, 1898 (when a lack of crowd control caused the match to be abandoned), 1908 and 1916. By the 1920s Caherline had slipped back to the junior ranks but returned to the limelight in 1927 when winning their first Limerick Junior Hurling Championship by beating Kilmallock in the county final. Pallasgreen
Pallasgreen or Pallasgrean () is a village in East County Limerick, situated on the Limerick–Tipperary N24 road. The name means "the Stockade of Grian," referring to an ancient Irish Goddess of Love, who is associated with the nearby hill of Nicker. Approximately 2 km south of Pallasgreen is the related village, Old Pallas, and roughly three miles south of Pallasgreen is Sarsfield's Rock, a large rocky outcrop near the church of Templebraden. This rocky outcrop looks down on the site where Patrick Sarsfield destroyed the Williamite artillery during the Jacobite-Williamite War. The rock itself has views of the surrounding hills and fields.
