Palazzo Lombardia
Palazzo Lombardia ("Lombardy Palace") is a complex of buildings in Milan, Italy, including a 43-storey, tall skyscraper. It is the main seat of the Lombardy regional government, located in the Centro Direzionale di Milano (CBD, Central Business District), north-west of the city centre. It was first inaugurated on 22 January 2010, and officially completed on 21 March 2010. After its completion, the Regione Lombardia skyscraper was briefly the tallest skyscraper both in Milan and in Italy, being taller than both the Telecom Italia Tower in Naples and the Pirelli Tower in Milan. It lost its supremacy to the Unicredit Tower (also located in Milan) in 2011. Palazzo Lombardia was designed by the architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, winner of an international design competition in 2004, with Henry N. Cobb as design partner. The Chicago Athenaeum is a private museum of architecture and design, based in Galena, Illinois. The museum focuses on the art of design in all areas of the discipline: architecture, industrial and product design, graphics, landscape architecture, and urban planning. Telecom Italia Tower (Naples)
The Telecom Italia Tower is a 129-metre high skyscraper located in the business district of Naples, Italy. It is currently the ninth tallest skyscraper in Italy. It was, for 15 years, the highest building in Italy, surpassing by 2 meters the Pirelli Tower in Milan, that held the title from 1960 to 1995. Description The complex consists of a central tower and two low rises that surrounding it. It is covered in mirrored glass on all sides. Front has two pylons lined white panels that comprise the body of the elevators and stairs. By the middle is placed a panoramic balcony that looks like a black horizontal cut on the front, but often do not notice because it is a little higher up the roof of the body low. This feature is also present in two other places in the tower back up, almost at the top, occupying almost the whole plan, and always back to the same position on the façade of the overview, or the middle of the skyscraper.
