PalaBarbuto, also known by its sponsorship name of PalaEldo, is an indoor sporting arena located in Naples, Italy. The facility is located in ''Viale Giochi del Mediterraneo'', in close proximity to the Olympic swimming pool Piscina Felice Scandone. History Originally named after the sports reporter Lello Barbuto and now bearing the name of Eldo Megastore, a chain of Italian electronics mega stores, it is currently the home of the professional basketball teams Nuova AMG Sebastiani Basket of the Lega Basket and Eldo Napoli S.S. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Serie A is organised by Lega Basket, which is regulated by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP). It is the highest-tier level of the Italian league system. The complex was named after Italian sports journalist and enthusiast Felice Scandone, who reported on sports in the Naples area. Construction of the venue began in 1960 and in 1963 the venue opened.
