''Pal Do Pal'' is a 1999 Pakistani romantic action film, which was directed by Shamim Ara. This film starred Moammar Rana, Resham, Saud (actor), Saud, Meera (actress), Meera, Ismail Tara, Nayyar Ejaz and Shafqat Cheema in pivotal roles. The film is also notable for being the only Pakistani movie to have music by legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Plot The film follows the love story of central characters—Gul (Moammar Rana, Moammar) and Khushboo (Resham) who eagerly love each other, but face numerous hurdles in their journey of uniting with each other. As both belongs to different tribes, their families are not accepting their relationship, although Gul's cousin Ayaz (Saud (actor), Saud) supports them. Shamim Ara (22 March 1938 – 5 August 2016) was a Pakistani film actress, director and producer. She was known as ''The Tragic Beauty'' because of the tragic heroine roles she often portrayed in films. She was one of the most popular actresses of her time and was one of the most successful actresses of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. She is regarded as one of the most influential actresses of all time in Pakistani cinema. Early life She was born ''Putli Bai'' in Aligarh, British India in 1938 but later adopted the film name Shamim Ara. Her acting career spans from the late 1950s till the early 1970s. Ghulam Mohiuddin ( Punjabi, ur, غلام محی الدین); also spelled Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din) (born 27 October 1951) is a Pakistani actor of Urdu and Punjabi films. One of the country’s most popular film actors during the 70s and the 80s, he has worked in over 400 movies in Urdu and Punjabi during a career spanning nearly 50 years. He is popularly known as Gullo Bhai in the Pakistan film Industry.
