Paige Sander
Paige Nicole Sander (; born June 21, 1995) is an American former volleyball player who played in the middle blocker position. Sander played collegiately for Minnesota from 2013 to 2016 where she was an All-American and was a member of the U.S. national team. With the national team, she won a gold medal at the 2017 and 2018 Pan American Cup, and participated in the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix tournament. Personal life Sander is from Stewartville, Minnesota and played volleyball for Stewartville High School. Sander's twin sister, Hannah, also played volleyball with her at Minnesota and the national team. In 2022, she married former men's national team player Brenden Sander. Career Minnesota At Minnesota, Sander began her career in 2013, but seldom played her freshman season, only seeing action in 21 sets. Stewartville, Minnesota
Stewartville is a city in Olmsted County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 5,916 at the 2010 census, and was estimated to have grown to a population of 6,125 as of 2018. UCLA Bruins Women's Volleyball
The UCLA women's volleyball program began its first year in 1965. Andy Banachowski was the head coach each year since 1965 until his retirement after the 2009 season, with the exception of the two seasons of 1968–69 and 1969–70, after he graduated from UCLA. In those seasons, Mardi Hardy Monroe was the head coach. Michael Sealy took over as head coach in 2010 and led the team to a national championship in 2011. Banachowski had more wins than any other NCAA Division I women's volleyball coach, with a record (since 1970, since no records were kept from 1965 to 1969) of 1,106–301. Banachowski had led UCLA to six national championships (3 NCAA–1984, 1990, 1991; 2 AIAW–1974, 1975; and 1 DGWS–1972). 2017–18 Women's CEV Cup
The 2017–18 Women's CEV Cup was the 46th edition of the European CEV Cup volleyball club tournament, the former "Top Teams Cup". Format The tournament is played on a knockout format, with 32 teams participating. Initially 22 teams were allocated direct vacancies to enter the competition, with another 10 teams joining the competition via Champions League qualification. On 14 June 2017, a drawing of lots in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, determined the team's pairing for each match. Each team plays a home and an away match with result points awarded for each leg (3 points for 3–0 or 3–1 wins, 2 points for 3–2 win, 1 point for 2–3 loss). The DVV-Pokal für Frauen is the national cup competition of German women's volleyball . The organizer is the German Volleyball Association (DVV). The finals have been held in the SAP Arena in Mannheim since 2016. The current title holders in 2021 are the Schweriner SC. Competition history The DVV Cup has been held since 1973.
