''Paha Samath'' ( si, පහ සමත්), interchangeably use as ''5 Samath'', is a 2017 Sri Lankan Sinhala children's film directed by Jayaprakash Sivagurunadan and produced by Hans Anton Vanstarex for New Imperial Talkies. It stars new coming child actors along with Dilhani Ekanayake and Uddika Premarathna. Music composed by Kapila Pugalaarchchi. The muhurath ceremony was held at the New Imperial Talkies It is the 1291st Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. The film received mostly positive reviews from critics. Child artist Amiru Koralage won a merit award at the 2018 Sarasaviya Awards. Plot The film discuss about the modern life of children who struggle to pass grade 5 scholarship and the pressure exerted by parents on them. Dilhani Ashokamala Ekanayake ( si, දිල්හානි ඒකනායක; born 4 March 1970) is an actress in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television. One of the most popular film actresses in Sinhala cinema, Ekanayake has won several awards as the most popular actress in multiple times. Personal life Ekanayake studied at St Clare's girls school, in Colombo. She is married to singer and actor Priyankara Perera son of singer Milton Perera. She has a son, Dilmin Perera. Uddika Premarathna (born 16 September 1980; උද්දික ප්රේමරත්න) is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema and television. Apart from acting, he is also a singer, TV announcer and a member of parliament. Personal life He is married to Anusha Kumari Pannala and the couple has one son, Angsh Prachien who was born on 24 April 2013. 34th Sarasaviya Awards
The 34rd Sarasaviya Awards festival (Sinhala: 34වැනි සරසවිය සම්මාන උලෙළ), presented by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited, was held to honor the best films of 2016 and 2017 Sinhala cinema on August 3, 2018, at the BMICH, Colombo 07, Sri Lanka at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony was hosted by Saman Atahdudahetti.
