Page is a neighborhood in the Nokomis community in Minneapolis. Its boundaries are the Minnehaha Creek to the north, Chicago Avenue to the east, Diamond Lake Road and East 55th Street to the south, and Interstate 35W to the west. Page shares a neighborhood organization with the Hale and Diamond Lake neighborhoods. Field is a neighborhood in the Nokomis community in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. The neighborhood is bordered by East 46th Street on the north, Chicago Avenue on the east, Minnehaha Parkway on the south, and Interstate 35W on the west. Field shares a neighborhood organization with the Regina and Northrop neighborhoods. Field takes its name from a local school, which in turn was named for Eugene Field, a writer of children's poetry. The largely-residential neighborhood is characterized by small, two-bedroom, pre-1940s homes made from stucco, brick, and stone. Chicago Avenue is the main commercial thoroughfare in the neighborhood. Field is home to the Arthur and Edith Lee House historic place. Walter Hines Page
Walter Hines Page (August 15, 1855 – December 21, 1918) was an American journalist, publisher, and diplomat. He was the United States ambassador to the United Kingdom during World War I. He founded the ''State Chronicle'', a newspaper in Raleigh, North Carolina, and worked with other leaders to gain legislative approval for what is now known as North Carolina State University, which established as a land-grant college in 1885. He worked on several newspapers, including the ''New York World'' and '' Evening Post''. He was the editor of ''The Atlantic Monthly'' for several years and also a literary adviser to Houghton Mifflin. For more than a decade starting in 1900, he was a partner of Doubleday, Page & Company, a major book publisher in New York City. Hale, Minneapolis
Hale is a neighborhood (within the larger Nokomis community) near the southern edge of Minneapolis. It lies south of Minnehaha Creek, north of 55th Street, east of Chicago Avenue, and west of Cedar Avenue. The neighborhood takes its name from the local public school, Nathan Hale. Nathan Hale is a K-4 school. Most of the homes in the area were built in the 1920s and 30s. Interstate 35W (Minnesota)
Interstate 35W (I-35W) is an Interstate Highway in the US state of Minnesota, passing through downtown Minneapolis. It is one of two through routes for I-35 through the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the other being I-35E through downtown Saint Paul. Traveling north, I-35 splits at Burnsville, and the I-35W route runs north for , carrying its own separate sequence of exit numbers.
