Alberto Pagani (29 August 1938 – 11 September 2017) was an Italian professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. His best year was in 1972 when he finished second in the 500cc world championship, behind his MV Agusta teammate, Giacomo Agostini. Lattanzio Pagani
Lattanzio Pagani (active after 1543, died circa 1582) was an Italian painter of the late-Renaissance or Mannerist period, active mainly in Umbria. Biography He was born in Monterubbiano in the province of Fermo, in the region of Marche. He was an artist attached to Cardinal Tiberio Crispo after 1543, and when the Cardinal was papal legate in Umbria in 1545–1548. After 1553, Pagani became a captain in the militia. He later studied law in Perugia, receiving a doctorate in 1567. He became the Bargello in Rome in 1573. He painted frescoes (circa 1546) for the Frescoes in Palazzo Trinci in Foligno. The art historian Giorgio Vasari documents that Pagani worked during 1543–1544 in painting frescoes in the no longer extant Rocca Paolina of Perugia. He was aided by Cristofano Gherardi. Paolo Pagani (22 September 1655 – 5 May 1716) also known as Paolo Antonio Pagani or Paolo Pagano, was an Italian Baroque/ Mannerism painter of the 17th century. Biography Pagani was born in Valsolda, now a municipality in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about north of Milan and bordering Switzerland. In 1667 he moved to Venice, where he made a series of ten aquatints from works by Giuseppe Diamantini (1621–1705). In 1675 he painted the ''Martyrdom of St. Erasmus''. The painting was exhibited at Palazzo Molin, and is currently located in the National Gallery of Spinola in Genoa. In 1690 he was invited to Vienna by the Emperor Leopold I. Cirillo Pagani (11 October 1911 – 19 October 2003), nicknamed "Nello", was an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and Formula One driver. He was born in Milan, Lombardy, and died in Bresso. He was known for his long career, spanning from 1928 to 1955, and for becoming the first 125cc World Champion in the inaugural 1949 campaign. He almost became a double Champion in that first year of the World Championship series. In the 500cc class he was officially runner-up. The series was run over six rounds with a rider's best three scores counting towards the championship. Englishman Les Graham on an AJS was Pagani's main rival. Although Pagani scored more overall points than Graham, he lost the championship with two wins and a third place as his scores that counted, whilst Graham had two wins and a second. Mauro Pagani (born 5 February 1946) is an Italian musician and singer. Pagani was born in Chiari, Lombardy. A multi-instrumentalist, he made his debut in the music world in 1970 as violinist and founding member of the progressive rock band Premiata Forneria Marconi. In 1977 he left the band to follow a solo career, but in 2003 rejoined for a celebrative concert. Maurizio Pagani (1936–2014) was an Italian engineer and politician who served as the minister of post and telecommunications in the period 1992–1994 in two successive cabinets and as the mayor of Novara.
