Patrick Joseph Ryan (born December 11, 1990) is an Irish-American rugby union player who plays as a prop for the Chicago Hounds in Major League Rugby (MLR) and the United States men's national team. He previously played for the Newcastle Falcons in the English premiership before joining Austin Elite for the inaugural season of Major League Rugby in 2018. Ryan also played for Rugby United New York (RUNY) in Major League Rugby (MLR) in 2019 and 2020 and then for the Austin Gilgronis in 2021 and 2022. Family and early life The son of an American mother, Paddy Ryan was born in Chicago, Illinois, but was raised in Ireland. He played club rugby for Highfield RFC and Dolphin RFC in Cork, along with his older brothers Tim Ryan and Dave Ryan, who also later became professional rugby players. Paddy Ryan (born 9 August 1988) is an Australian rugby union player who plays as a tight-head prop. Ryan played eight seasons for the New South Wales Waratahs, where he surpassed one hundred caps in Super Rugby. He was also capped for the Australian national team. Early life Ryan was born and raised in Tamworth in northern New South Wales. He went to St. Nicholas primary school before attending St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill in Sydney, Australia as a boarding student. London Welsh Rugby Football Club ( cy, Clwb Rygbi Cymry Llundain) was a rugby union club formed in 1885. Based in Old Deer Park, Richmond-upon-Thames, London Welsh RFC played in the English Premiership in the 2012–13 and 2014–15 seasons, after gaining promotion from the RFU Championship in the 2012 and 2014 play-off final. The club returned to Old Deer Park in 2015 after three seasons at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford. The club went into liquidation in December 2016 and was given a temporary licence to complete two fixtures in the Championship.
