Paddy Barry (Limerick Hurler)
Patrick Barry (13 August 1896 – 31 October 1967) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Limerick and Dublin senior teams lasted from 1917 until 1923. Raised in the townland of Baggotstown West, parish of Knockainey, County Limerick, Barry first played competitive hurling and football with St. Colman's College, Fermoy. His prowess earned him the captaincy of the Munster team that won the 1914 All-Ireland College Hurling Final. That same year he was a member of the Munster team that reached in the All-Ireland College Football Final. Barry played Gaelic games with a number of clubs, beginning as a Gaelic footballer with Fermoy, with whom he featured in two county senior championship finals. His return to Limerick saw Barry switch codes to hurling and joined the Boher team, while he also lined out with the Young Irelands and Fedamore clubs. Paddy Barry (Sarsfield's Hurler)
Patrick "Paddy" Barry (1928 – 18 December 2000) was an Irish hurler who played as a left corner-forward for the Cork senior team. Born in Glounthaune, County Cork, Barry first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team. He made his senior debut during the 1947–48 league. Barry subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won three All-Ireland medals, four Munster medals and two National Hurling League medals. The All-Ireland-winning captain of 1952, he was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Barry won four Railway Cup medal. At club level he was a two-time championship medallist with Sarsfields, while he also played Gaelic football with sister club Glanmire. Throughout his career Barry made 28 championship appearances. Patrick Barry (born 27 August 1941) is an Irish former hurler who played as a goalkeeper for the Cork senior team. Born in The Lough area of Cork, Barry first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team, before later joining the junior side. He made his senior debut during the 1963 championship. Barry immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won two All-Ireland medals, four Munster medals and four National Hurling League medals. The All-Ireland-winning captain of 1970, he was an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. Barry was a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, however, he never won a Railway Cup medal. At club level he is a one-time championship medallist in the intermediate grade with St. Vincent's. Throughout his career Barry made 31 championship appearances.
