Paddock Park was an American post-hardcore band from Ocala, Florida. History The band was formed by harsh vocalist Brian Calzini and consisted of clean vocalist Jason Neil, drummer Bobby Scruggs, guitarists John Copeland and bassist Sanders Dukes. Post-hardcore
Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. It was initially inspired by post-punk and noise rock. Like post-punk, the term has been applied to a broad constellation of groups. Brian Calzini
Brian Calzini is an American metalcore vocalist. He formed bands Paddock Park, Sleeping with Sirens and We Are Defiance, his current band. Early life Calzini is also known as Brian John Williams. Music career Williams's musical career began when he started recording a song named ''I´ll Swing My Fists'' together with Tom Denney formerly of A Day To Remember. Williams uploaded the song to his MySpace profile and started a solo musical project called '"Paddock Park". He later found a live band to perform his songs live and formed the band as Paddock Park, with whom he recorded his first song "I'll Swing My Fists" for their debut EP ''False Hope'', in 2007. The band was later signed by Eulogy Recordings, where they released their first full-length album ''A Hiding Place for Fake Friends'', which featured a re-recording of the same song. Bobby Scruggs
A Day to Remember (often abbreviated ADTR, and previously known as End of an Era) is an American rock band from Ocala, Florida, founded in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. They are known for their amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk. The band currently consists of vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist Neil Westfall, percussionist/drummer Alex Shelnutt and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff. Signing with Indianola Records for their first album, ''And Their Name Was Treason'' (2005), Scruggs was replaced by Shelnutt in 2006. Later that year the band recorded '' For Those Who Have Heart'' (2007) for Victory Records. They embarked on several tours of the UK and U.S. and played at several festivals before recording and releasing '' Homesick'' (2009). Eulogy Recordings
Eulogy Recordings is an American independent record label established in early 1997 by hardcore guitarist John Wylie. The record company was founded in Cooper City, Florida but its headquarters moved around in various parts of Broward County, Florida. Since its buy-out in 2018, it has been based in Atlanta, Georgia. The label releases heavy metal and hardcore bands, some of which are straight edge. Among the label's better-known signings were Set Your Goals and New Found Glory. The first band signed to Eulogy Recordings in April 1997 was Bird of Ill Omen, which featured several members of Wylie's band Morning Again in its line-up. In 1999, Ian Rowan became a partner in Eulogy Recordings and later Hand of Hope Records. Eulogy Recordings also financed releases by its imprint label, Hand of Hope Records. Andrew Robert Wade (born August 4, 1984) is an American recording engineer and music producer. Early years and A Wish for Marilynne (2002–2006) In August 2002, Wade started playing guitar and singing lead vocals in Christian rock/emo band A Wish for Marilynne. By September 2003, the band had written seven songs, three of which made it on to a demo tape, that was recorded four months prior.Robbins 2003, p. 74 In an interview with the ''Ocala Star-Banner'' the band said that once they had ten songs they were going to start recording, and Wade said "it's (going to) be a lot better than the demo." Founded in 2009 by former Sleeping with Sirens and Paddock Park singer Brian Calzini, the band released their only album, '' Trust in Few'', in early 2011 on Tragic Hero.
