Pachomius (; el, Παχώμιος ''Pakhomios''; ; c. 292 – 9 May 348 AD), also known as Saint Pachomius the Great, is generally recognized as the founder of Christian cenobitic monasticism. Copts, Coptic churches celebrate his feast day on 9 May, and Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches mark his feast on 15 May or 28 May. In the Lutheran Church, he is remembered as a renewer of the church, along with his contemporary (and fellow desert saint), Anthony of Egypt on 17 January. Life Pachomius was born in 292 in Thebaid, The Thebaid (near modern-day Luxor, Egypt) to pagan parents. According to his hagiography, at age 21, Pachomius was swept up against his will in a Roman army recruitment drive, a common occurrence during this period of turmoil and civil war. Éric Pacôme N'Dri (born 24 March 1978) is an Ivorian athlete specializing in the 100 metres. Participating in the 2004 Summer Olympics, he achieved third place in his 100 metres heat, thus securing qualification to the second round. He then achieved eighth place in his second round heat, thus failing to secure qualification to the semi-finals. He also competed at the World Championships in 2001 and 2003. N'Dri has won two medals in 100 metres at the Jeux de la Francophonie; a bronze medal in 2001 and a silver medal in 2005. Pacôme Rupin (born 25 January 1985) is a French politician who served as a member of the National Assembly from 2017 to 2022, representing the 7th constituency of Paris. A member of La République En Marche! (LREM), his constituency covers the 4th arrondissement, as well as parts of the 11th and 12th arrondissements. Political career From 2005 until 2016, Rupin was a member of the Socialist Party. He joined LREM shortly after its launch in 2016. Upon entering Parliament, Rupin was one of the four deputy chairpersons of the LREM parliamentary group under the leadership of successive chairmen Richard Ferrand (2017–2018) and Gilles Le Gendre (2018–2022).
