The William Packer House is located at 600 Ewing Avenue in the borough of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, Franklin Lakes in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The historic stone house was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) in 1939. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 9, 1983, for its significance in architecture. With accompanying photo. It was listed as part of the Early Stone Houses of Bergen County Multiple Property Submission (MPS). The house is dated to 1789 by tradition, but around 1795 based on architectural evidence. Packer Farm and Barkersville Store is a historic farm and general store and national historic district located at Middle Grove, Saratoga County, New York. The district encompasses four contributing buildings and one contributing structure in the Town of Providence. They are the Packer house (c. 1825-1859), frame English barn (c. 1825 and later), frame store (c. 1893 and later), second frame barn with attached shed (c. 1860), and a dam. The Packer house is a two-story, frame dwelling moved to its present location about 1857, along with the English barn. The house exhibits Federal and Greek Revival style design elements. Asa Packer Mansion
The Asa Packer Mansion is a historic house museum on Packer Road in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, United States. Completed in 1861, it was the home of Asa Packer (1805–1879), a coal and railroad magnate, philanthropist, and founder of Lehigh University. Asa Packer was also a major contributor in the Lehigh Valley Railroad system. The mansion is one of the best preserved Italianate Villa homes in the United States, with original Victorian furnishings and finishes. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1985. The Harry Packer Mansion, is an historic home which is located in Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, Pennsylvania. Located in the Old Mauch Chunk Historic District, this residence was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 20, 1974. A packing house is a facility where fruit is received and processed prior to distribution to market. Bulk fruit (such as apples, oranges, pears, and the like) is delivered to the plant via trucks or wagons, where it is dumped into receiving bins and sorted for quality and size. In the case of citrus, ripe fruit with a greenish tint is placed in special storage rooms where ethylene gas is used to bring out the color. Obvious "culls" (fruit that is not suitable to sell for eating due to cosmetic defects) is removed and sold for juice or other uses. Fruit that is ready to be packed into crates or flats is run through a washer and then air-dried. A light coating of natural wax is applied to help the fruit retain moisture and enhance its appeal. Packer Memorial Chapel (also known as Packer Memorial Church) is a historic church on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States. History Packer Memorial Chapel was designed by Philadelphia architect Addison Hutton, and built in 1885 when the university was affiliated with the Episcopal Church. It was donated by Mary Packer Cummings in memory of her father, Asa Packer. The cornerstone was laid on "the seventh Founder's Day, October 8, 1885" and the consecration took place "Two years later, on the ninth Founder's Day, October 13, 1887". The chapel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Asa Packer, on the other hand, was buried in Mauch Chunk Cemetery, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, where his mansion was located.
