Pacific Naval Force
The Pacific Naval Force ( es, Fuerza Naval del Pacífico) is the Mexican Navy's presence in the Pacific Ocean. Its headquarters is in Manzanillo, Colima. The Pacific Naval Force was created in the same date as its Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea counterpart on February 11, 1972. The Surface ships are the main components of The Naval Force and is the means to secure and to operate sea control in strategic areas. Main objectives of the Naval force is to Defend the sovereignty and integrity of Mexico from sea, protect vital naval installations, protect human life and maintain marine traffic and maintain the rule of law in national waters. USS Bronstein (FF-1037)
USS ''Bronstein'' (FF-1037) was the lead ship of her class in the United States Navy. She was named in honor of Assistant Surgeon Ben Richard Bronstein, who was killed in action on 28 February 1942 when was sunk by a German U-boat off Cape May, New Jersey. ''Bronstein'' was commissioned on 16 June 1963 as DE-1037 under the command of Stanley Thomas Counts. She was decommissioned 13 December 1990 and struck from the Navy list on 4 October 1991. Mexican Naval Aviation (FAN; es, Fuerza AeroNaval, , Naval Air Force), is the naval air arm of the Mexican Navy. The Mexican Navy is divided into two naval fleets: Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. The Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) AS550 Fennec (now H125M) and AS555 Fennec 2 are lightweight, multipurpose military helicopters manufactured by Eurocopter Group (now Airbus Helicopters). USS ''Frederick'' (LST-1184) was a which replaced the traditional bow door-design tank landing ships (LSTs) of the United States Navy. USS ''Newport'' (LST-1179) was the third ship of the United States Navy (USN) to bear the name of the Rhode Island city. The first of her class of landing ship tanks (LST), she was capable of a sustained speed of . Her ability to adjust her draft, accompanied by her unique bow-ramp design, helped bring a new degree of responsiveness to the amphibious fleet. ''Newport''-class tank landing ships were an improved class of tank landing ship (LST) designed for and employed by the United States Navy from 1969 to 2002. The ships were intended to provide substantial advantages over their World War II-era predecessors. Larger and faster than any previous LST design, they carried a ramp over the bow that allowed them to surpass , a goal of the United States amphibious forces. 27 were planned of which twenty were completed, the high number due to the demands of US force projection estimates. Landing Ship, Tank
Landing Ship, Tank (LST), or tank landing ship, is the naval designation for ships first developed during World War II (1939–1945) to support amphibious operations by carrying tanks, vehicles, cargo, and landing troops directly onto shore with no docks or piers. This enabled amphibious assaults on almost any beach. The LST had a highly specialized design that enabled ocean crossings as well as shore groundings. The bow had a large door that could open, deploy a ramp and unload vehicles. The LST had a flat keel that allowed the ship to be beached and stay upright.
