Vincenzo Pacetti
Vincenzo Pacetti (1746–1820) was an Italian sculptor and restorer from Castel Bolognese, particularly active in collecting and freely restoring and completing classical sculptures such as the Barberini Faun (1799 – now in the Glyptothek, Munich)— his most famous work— the Hope Dionysus (now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art) and the Athena of Velletri (1797 – now in the Louvre) and selling them on to rich collectors as finished artefacts. Massimo Pacetti
Massimo Pacetti (born August 22, 1962) is a Canadian politician from Quebec, Canada. Pacetti was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in a 2002 by-election and continued as the Member of Parliament for Saint-Léonard—Saint-Michel sitting with the Liberal caucus until 2014; he served his last year of office as an Independent MP. Life and career Born in Montreal, Quebec, Pacetti is a former accountant and entrepreneur, and former commissioner of the Pointe-de-l'Île school board. Camillo Pacetti
Camillo Pacetti (Rome, 2 May 1758 - Milan, 16 July 1826) was an Italian sculptor. He was the brother of Vincenzo Pacetti, another sculptor. A student of the Accademia di San Luca, he later worked in various churches in Rome and Milan. In 1804, on Antonio Canova's recommendation, he was offered the role of chair of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, to succeed Giuseppe Franchi. Besides this teaching engagement, Pacetti accepted also public commissions, such as the statue of the New Law for the facade of the Duomo and reliefs for the Arco della Pace at Milan (the arch planned by Luigi Cagnola and also featuring sculpture by Luigi Canonica). His subject matter ranged from portraits to mythological and allegorical scenes. Phillip Pacetti known as "Philonious" is an American musician active in the 1990s to present. "Philonious" is a vocalist, guitarist, lyricist, songwriter and music producer who began his musical journey in the early 1990s with the Los Angeles band Grumblefish. The band was produced by Jonathan Melvoin (drummer for The Dickies, and Prince and The Revolution) Jonathan was the drummer on their debut album and performed at local shows with the band in Los Angeles for one year before recruiting Mark Aber Rooney, the son of Mickey Rooney and Jan Rooney. Grumblefish was a staple of the LA music scene and released three albums before disbanding in 1996. Iva Pacetti (13 December 1898, Prato - 19 January 1981, Milan) was an Italian operatic dramatic soprano who had an active international career from 1920 to 1947. Trained in Florence and Milan, she made her professional opera debut in her native city at the age of 21 as the title heroine in Giuseppe Verdi's ''Aida'' at the Teatro Metastasio. She reprised the role the following year at Loew's Lexington Theatre in New York City. In 1922 she had a triumphant success at the Teatro Carlo Felice as Elena in Arrigo Boito's ''Mefistofele''. Pakicetidae ("Pakistani whales") is an extinct family of Archaeoceti (early whales) that lived during the Early Eocene in Pakistan. Description described the first pakicetid, '' Ichthyolestes'', but at the time they did not recognize it as a cetacean, identifying it, instead, it as a fish-eating mesonychid. Robert West was the first to identify pakicetids as cetaceans in 1980 and, after discovering a braincase, Phillip Gingerich and Donald Russell described the genus ''Pakicetus'' in 1981. On October 26, 2016, a publication represented the idea that the emergence of cetacea in the Paleogene presents the best idea of microevolution that resulted in the phenotype of pakicetid.
