Pablo Martín (golfer)
Pablo Martín Benavides (born 20 April 1986) is a Spanish professional golfer. Martín was born in Málaga, and attended Oklahoma State University in the United States. He was named the Jack Nicklaus Award winner, the Haskins Award winner in 2006 as the best collegiate golfer in the world. He won the 2005 Porter Cup. In April 2007, Martín became the first amateur ever to win a European Tour event when he captured the Estoril Open de Portugal title. As an amateur, he had to forfeit the winner's prize money of €208,330, but the win still granted him exemption on the European Tour until the end of 2009. He turned professional in June 2007, and completed the season playing on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour, relying on sponsors' invitations for PGA Tour events. Alfred Dunhill Championship
The Alfred Dunhill Championship is a men's professional golf tournament which is played in South Africa. It is part of the Southern African Sunshine Tour and is one of several events in South Africa that are co-sanctioned by the more prestigious European Tour. History The tournament was founded in 2000, but its origins lie in Dunhill's sponsorship of the South African PGA Championship between 1995 and 1999. Following the 1999 Alfred Dunhill PGA Championship, the company decided to discontinue their association with the South African PGA, and create their own stand alone tournament. WGC-Championship
The WGC Championship was a professional golf tournament that was held between 1999 and 2021. It was one of the three or four annual World Golf Championships until the number of WGC events was reduced to two following the 2021 season. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. Jacob Thorbjørn Olesen (born 21 December 1989) is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour, where he has won six times including the 2016 Turkish Airlines Open and the 2018 Italian Open. The 2011 European Tour was the third edition of the Race to Dubai and the 40th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972. The season began in December 2010 with the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa, and culminated with the Dubai World Championship the following December. The full schedule included the four major championships and four World Golf Championships. The Race to Dubai was won by Englishman Luke Donald, who also collected the Golfer of the Year award having also headed the PGA Tour money list and ascended to the top of the Official World Golf Ranking during 2011. Charl Adriaan Schwartzel ( ; born 31 August 1984) is a South African professional golfer who currently plays in the LIV Golf Invitational Series and has previously played on the PGA Tour, European Tour and the Sunshine Tour. The 2010 European Tour was the second edition of the Race to Dubai and the 39th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972. The season consisted of 47 tournaments, beginning with two events in December 2009 and culminating with the Dubai World Championship the following November. Raphaël Jacquelin (born 8 May 1974) is a French professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Career Jacquelin was born in Lyon. He turned professional in 1995, after winning the French Amateur Championship. Jacquelin began his professional career on the Challenge Tour. In 1997 he claimed two wins on his way to fourth on the season ending money list, which was sufficient to grant him full playing privileges on the European Tour for the following season. Jacquelin had to wait for his first title at the top level, eventually winning on his 238th European Tour start at the 2005 Madrid Open (golf), Open de Madrid.
