Papuan Volunteer Corps
The Papuan Volunteer Corps (PVK, Dutch: ''Papoea Vrijwilligers Korps'') was a corps consisting entirely of Papuans, formed on February 21, 1961. It was established to contribute to the defense of Dutch New Guinea against the infiltration of the Indonesian Army. The establishment of the corps by the Dutch Cabinet was approved in December 1959, and the corps was to serve as a ''semi-military police''. The PVK was composed of different peoples of Papua, mostly members of Arfak and Biak tribes and was under command of colonel of marines W.A. van Heuven. As an emblem the PVK chose the Cassowary ''(kasuaris in Dutch)'': the Corp's motto was ''Persevero'' (''I persist''). ''Pirates, Vikings and Knights II'' is a multiplayer team-based first-person action video game, developed as a total conversion modification on Valve proprietary Source engine. The game is currently in beta development stages, with its first public release on 1 January 2007. The second major public version was released a year later on 7 February 2008. The game is a sequel to '' Pirates, Vikings and Knights'', which was created by three UC Berkeley students (Garrett Moore, Matt Bishop, and Kris Hauser). History In December 2015, the privatisation of Aktion National Airport and 13 other regional airports of Greece was finalised with the signing of the agreement between the Fraport AG/Copelouzos Group joint venture and the state privatisation fund. PVK Jadran is a professional water polo club based in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. As of 2021–22 season, the club competes in the Montenegrin League and Regional League A1. PVK Jadran is a 16-time winner of the National league (10 Montenegro, 2 SFR Yugoslavia, 4 Serbia & Montenegro), 13-time winner of the National cup (10 Montenegro, 3 SFR Yugoslavia), 2-time winner of the Regional Water Polo League, and 1-time runner-up of the LEN Champions League. History PVK Jadran was founded in the summer of 1922 as a merger between two water polo clubs, Bijela Vila and Spjaža. It was then registered at the Swimming Federation of Yugoslavia.
