PS GAS Sawahlunto stands for Persatuan Sepakbola Gunung Arang Sawahlunto ('' en: Football Association of Mount Charcoal Sawahlunto'') is an Indonesian football club based in Sawahlunto, West Sumatra. They currently compete in the Liga 3 and play at Ombilin Stadium. The team succeeded in promotion of Liga Indonesia Third Division 2011–2012 to the Liga Indonesia Second Division 2012-2013 but withdrew because of lack of funds to wade through the new season. Now, this club playing in Liga 3. Sawahlunto (Jawi script, Jawi: ) is a city in West Sumatra, Western Sumatra province, Indonesia, and lies 90 kilometres (a 2-hour drive) from Padang, the provincial capital. Sawahlunto is known as the site for the oldest coal mining site in Southeast Asia. 2016 Liga Nusantara
The 2016 ISC Liga Nusantara or 2016 Indonesia Soccer Championship C season is the second edition of Liga Nusantara after the Liga Indonesia Second Division, Second Division and Liga Indonesia Third Division, Third Division merged on 2014 season. The 2014 Liga Nusantara season is the first edition of Liga Nusantara after the Second Division and Third Division merged on 2014 season. After removal of Badan Liga Sepakbola Amatir Indonesia (BLAI) Liga Nusantara as amateur competition this season is managed by competition committee of Province Association for qualification round and managed by PSSI in national round.
