PSA World Tour 2014
The PSA World Tour 2014 is the international squash tour organised circuit organized by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) for the 2014 squash season. The most important tournament in the series is the World Championship held in Doha in Qatar. Professional Squash Association
The Professional Squash Association (PSA) is the governing body for the men's and women's professional squash circuit. The body operates in a similar fashion to the ATP and the WTA for tennis. The PSA's highest professional level, the PSA World Tour involves over 200 tournaments annually around the world. Over 800 players from all the 5 continents (over 60 different countries represented ) are registered with the PSA and rankings are updated monthly based on players' performances. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (squash Player)
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Forero (born December 20, 1985 in Bogotá), known as Miguel Rodríguez, is a professional male squash player who represents Colombia. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 4 in June 2015. Early life Rodríguez was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He was introduced to squash at the age of 2 by his father Ángel, a former professional squash player himself. He played primarily at the Club El Nogal in Bógota. Omar Mosaad Abouzid (born March 17, 1988 in Cairo) is a professional squash player who represents Egypt. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 3 in 2016. Karim Darwish (squash)
Karim Darwish ( ar, كريم درويش; born 29 August 1981) is an Egyptian squash player. Career overview As a junior player, he won the World Junior Championship title in 2000, and the British Junior Open title in 1999. Earlier in 2008, Darwish finished runner-up at the World Open, losing in the final to fellow Egyptian player Ramy Ashour (11–5, 8–11, 4–11, 5–11). Darwish displaced Amr Shabana to claim the world number 1 position after winning the prestigious 2008 Saudi International and 3 major titles (including the Qatar Classic) in 2008. Cameron Pilley
Cameron Pilley (born 27 October 1982) is a former professional squash player from Australia. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 11 in January 2011. Pilley was born in Grafton, New South Wales. From 2001 to 2005, he attended the Australian Institute of Sport on a squash scholarship, where he trained under Geoff Hunt and Rodney Martin. Motor City Open (squash)
The Motor City Open is an annual international squash championship held in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The tournament is hosted and organized by the Birmingham Athletic Club, a private club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and has been held each year since 1999, with the exception of 2008, when the event was moved from November to the following January. The Motor City Open is usually scheduled immediately to follow the Tournament of Champions held in New York City. The tournament takes place over six days. The first two days consist of a qualifying competition, where 16 competitors compete for four places in the main draw. After the qualification rounds, the four qualifiers join the 12 exempt players in the main draw. In addition to the main draw, the Motor City Open also features a pro-am doubles competition and a clinic for juniors conducted by the professionals. Simon Rösner (born 5 November 1987 in Würzburg) is a German former professional squash player. He broke the Top 10 in the PSA World Rankings for the first time in November 2014, going on to become the highest-ranked male German player of all time. Rosner subsequently reached a world ranking of No. 6 matching Germany's Sabine Schone's career-high world ranking of No. 6 in June 2015.
