PIX System
PIX provides film professionals with secure access to production content on mobile devices, laptops, or TVs from offices, homes or while in transit and won an Oscar for their technology in 2019. In November 2019, PIX and CODEX announced that the two companies are to be brought under a single unified brand identity with the establishment of the X2X Media Group. History Founder and CEO Eric Dachs created PIX System in 2003. Dachs thought of the idea for PIX while working as an assistant to sound designer Ren Klyce on the 2002 film '' Panic Room.'' PIX System has been used in the production of more than 5,000 movies including '' A Star Is Born, Black Panther, First Man, Green Book, Roma,'' and '' Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse.'' Codex Digital
Codex Digital creates digital production workflow tools for motion pictures, commercials, independent films, and TV productions. Codex products include recorders and media processing systems that transfer digital files and images from the camera to post-production. Ren Klyce
Ren Klyce is a Japanese-American sound designer and sound mixer. He has been nominated for nine Academy Awards; six for Best Sound and three for Best Sound Editing. He is best known for his frequent collaborations with director David Fincher, having been the primary sound designer on every one of his films since ''Seven'', including ''The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo''. He is also known for his frequent collaborations with Spike Jonze. Klyce was born in Kyoto, Japan, and moved to California at a young age, where he grew up in Mill Valley. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
