PINK De Thierry
PINK de Thierry (born Helena Scheerder, 1943) is a Dutch visual artist known for her meta-performance art projects, which included 100 days of living in a painting (''At Home'', 1984), 30 days of traveling in the US as a performance-art project in 1988, daily entering Arcadia for 60 days in Germany with ''Et in Arcadia Ego Sum'' in 1990–91 and leading the Royal Netherlands Army in constructing ''Checkpoint to Dutch Arcadia'' in 1994. Since 1995, she has created a series of works entitled ''Letters from Arcadia''. The visual arts are art forms such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, filmmaking, design, crafts and architecture. Marcel Van Maele
Marcel van Maele (Bruges, 10 April 1931 – Antwerp, 24 July 2009) was a Belgian playwright and sculptor. He was one of the leading figures of the magazine ''Labris'' (founded in 1962), in which an experimental style was prominent. He was a member of the ''Zestigers'' (E: Group of the sixties). Video art is an art form which relies on using video technology as a visual and audio medium. Installation art is an artistic genre of three-dimensional works that are often site-specific and designed to transform the perception of a space. Generally, the term is applied to interior spaces, whereas exterior interventions are often called public art, land art or art intervention; however, the boundaries between these terms overlap. Transference
Transference (german: Übertragung) is a phenomenon within psychotherapy in which the "feelings, attitudes, or desires" a person had about one thing are subconsciously projected onto the here-and-now Other. It usually concerns feelings from a primary relationship during childhood. At times, this transference can be considered inappropriate. Transference was first described by Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, who considered it an important part of psychoanalytic treatment. Art Intervention
Art intervention is an interaction with a previously existing artwork, audience, venue/space or situation. It has the auspice of conceptual art and is commonly a form of performance art. It is associated with the Viennese Actionists, the Dada movement and Neo-Dadaists. Stuckists have made extensive use of it to affect perceptions of artworks they oppose and as a protest against existing interventions. Intervention can also refer to art which enters a situation outside the art world in an attempt to change the existing conditions there. For example, intervention art may attempt to change economic or political situations, or may attempt to make people aware of a condition that they previously had no knowledge of. Wide White Space Gallery
The Wide White Space gallery was an art gallery in Antwerp, Belgium. It opened on the ground floor of the house known as "Het Bootje" in Antwerp's Plaatsnijdersstraain Autumn 1966. James Lee Byars
James Lee Byars (April 10, 1932, Detroit, Michigan – May 23, 1997, Cairo, Egypt) was an American conceptual artist and performance artist specializing in installations and sculptures, as well as a self-considered mystic.
