PG Jaguars
The PG Jaguars were an AAU basketball organization based in Prince George's County, Maryland. While the organization has teams at every age level, the organization is best known for its national and regional championship winning teams at the 10U-14U levels in the 2000s. Coached by Taras "Stink" Brown and assisted by the late Charles Craig, these teams tallied 2 national championships, multiple Potomac Valley region titles and gained renown as possibly the greatest youth team of all time before disbanding around the 2004 season. Players on these teams included 2006 McDonald's All American Game MVP, 2007 Big 12 Player of the Year and 2007 #2 NBA draft pick Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), 2007 McDonald's All American Game MVP, 2008 Big 12 Player of the Year and 2008 #2 NBA draft pick Michael Beasley (Shanghai Sharks). Amateur Athletic Union
The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is an amateur sports organization based in the United States. A multi-sport organization, the AAU is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs. It has more than 700,000 members nationwide, including more than 100,000 volunteers. The AAU was founded on January 21, 1888, by James E. Sullivan and William Buckingham Curtis with the goal of creating common standards in amateur sport. The Sioux Falls Skyforce are an American professional basketball team of the NBA G League based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and are affiliated with the Miami Heat. The team plays their home games in the Sanford Pentagon, a place they have called home since the 2013–14 season. Chris McCray
Chris McCray (born May 27, 1984 in Capitol Heights, Maryland) is an American professional basketball player. He formerly played for the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA. A 6'5", 205 lb shooting guard, he attended and played basketball collegiately at the University of Maryland but dismissed from the team after he was found academically ineligible. He was not selected in the 2006 NBA draft, but signed a free agent contract with the Milwaukee Bucks in September 2006, making the team's 15-player roster. In August 2005, McCray was involved in a street fight on campus at the University of Maryland, College Park, and he was jailed for a night for refusing to leave the scene and resisting arrest. Edward Richard Basden (born February 15, 1983) is an American professional basketball player who formerly played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). College career Basden, born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, played competitive basketball in Greenbelt, Maryland at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, where he played against former Chicago Bulls teammate Mike Sweetney. He verbally committed to play college basketball at UMass, choosing them over Villanova, Maryland, Georgetown and George Mason.
