Pak Elektron Football Club served as the Works team, football section of Pakistani appliance and electronics company PEL (Pakistan), Pak Elektron Limited. It was based in Lahore. History The club entered in the 2007–08 PFF League, where they were declared the champions, and gained promotion to the 2008–09 Pakistan Premier League along with the second-placed Pakistan Steel F.C., Pakistan Steel. The club last competed in 2011–12 Pakistan Premier League, when they were relegated at the end of the season. Soon after, the parental organisation dissolved the team. Punjab Stadium
The Punjab Stadium is a football stadium in Lahore, Pakistan. It was nicknamed the "Ian Rush Stadium" after the Liverpool striker visited Pakistan to promote grassroots football in the country. Muhammad Essa was the first man to score an international goal at this venue. Real Lahore, WAPDA FC and Wohaib FC use the venue for association football matches. Construction The Punjab Stadium was built in 2003 at a cost of $220 million. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. Pak Elektron Limited (PEL) () is a Pakistani engineering corporation which manufactures major home appliances and electrical equipment. PEL operates in two segments - power and appliances. 2007–08 PFF League
The 2007–08 PFF League was the 4th season of PFF League, second tier of Pakistan Football Federation. The season started on 7 November 2007 concluded on 30 January 2008. Pak Electron were declared the champions, and gained promotion to the 2008–09 Pakistan Premier League along with the second-placed Pakistan Steel. Format Fifteen teams competed in the tournament. However, Sindh Government Press FC withdrew before the tournament started. In the group stage, teams were divided into two groups of seven teams each, playing each other in a round-robin format. Top three teams from each group progressed to the Super Six stage, where they had to play against each other in another round-robin league. Top two teams from the Super Six stage were promoted to the 2008–09 Pakistan Premier League, with the top team being declared as the PFF League champion. 2011–12 Pakistan Premier League
The 2011 season is the 57th season of Pakistan domestic football and the 8th season of the Pakistan Premier League, and started on 5 July 2011 under the auspices of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF). The season ending on 29 December with mid season break between 30 July and 14 September. KRL F.C. under head coach Tariq Lufti were crowned champions after losing only one game the whole season. They also took the winners prize of Rs 700,000. Afghan Club were the surprise of the season after finished second, the first time since the PPL started that a non-departmental club finished in the top three and took Rs 500,00. The Pakistan Football Federation League ( ur, پاکستان فٹ بال فیڈریشن لیگ ; abbreviated: PFFL), also known as the 'B' Division League, is a Pakistani semi-professional league for men's association football departments and clubs which are in the Pakistan football league system, and is the country's second-tier semi-professional football competition.
