PDP Governors Forum
The PDP Governors Forum or PDPGF is a political and policy think tank consisting of the state governors affiliated with the People's Democratic Party in Nigeria. The Forum was formed on 24 February 2013 when it split away from the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF). The PDPGF aims to provide a platform for governors to interact and exchange knowledge, ideas and experiences about how to move the party forward as well as to better coordinate programmes and policies in their various states. The Forum is led by a Chairperson, currently Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. He took over in January 2020 from Seriake Dickson the previous chairman of the Forum. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri (born October 27, 1967) is a Nigerian politician and the current Governor of Adamawa State. He was a member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and was appointed the Speaker of the House. He became the acting Governor of Adamawa State following the impeachment of Admiral Murtala Nyako the former governor of the state, in July 2014, handing later to Bala James Ngilari after serving for three months. 2019 Bayelsa State Gubernatorial Election
The 2019 Bayelsa State gubernatorial election occurred on 16 November 2019, the APC nominee David Lyon won the election, defeating Douye Diri of the PDP. David Lyon emerged APC gubernatorial candidate after defeating his closest rival, Diseye Nsirim. He picked Biobarakuma Degi as his running mate. Douye Diri
Douye Diri (born 4 June 1959) is a Nigerian politician and Governor of Bayelsa State. He was the senator representing Bayelsa Central senatorial district of Bayelsa state at the Nigerian 9th National Assembly. Early life Douye Diri began his early education at Okoro Primary School, Sampou and concluded it at Rev. Proctor Memorial Primary School, Kaiama in 1977, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. He later attended Government Secondary School, Odi in Bayelsa. Douye studied at the College of Education, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State where he obtained a National Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1985. Bayelsa is one of the states in the South-South region of Nigeria, located in the core of the Niger Delta region. Bayelsa State was created in 1996 and was carved out from Rivers State, making it one of the newest states in the federation. 2019 Bauchi State Gubernatorial Election
The Bauchi 2019 Gubernatorial Election was held on 9 March 2019 and concluded on 25 March 2019. The incumbent governor Abubakar Muhammad has lost to the PDP Bala Muhammed in the 2019 Bauch state Governorship election. Mr Bala Mohammed, the former minister of FCT, polled a total votes of 515,113 votes to defeat the incumbent governor Abubakar Muhammad who polled 500,625 votes. Results A total of 2,462,803 voters were registered in the state. While a total of 1,143,019 voters were accredited. A number of 1,111,406 were recorded as valid votes while 22,566 votes were annulled. Bala Muhammad was declared winner by the returning office Muhamaad Kyari with a total votes of 515,113 over the incumbent governor Muhammad Abubakar who poled 500, 625 votes.
