PBJ was an American digital broadcast children's television network that was originally a joint venture between Luken Communications and DreamWorks Classics. PBJ is now owned by NBCUniversal. PBJ began programming in late summer 2011, and had 19 broadcast affiliates before they ceased operations in March 2016 due to NBCUniversal's acquisition. ''Fabulous Funnies'' is a 1978–1979 American animated children's show produced for Saturday morning television by Filmation. The show aired for one season from September 9, 1978, to December 1, 1978, on NBC, airing 13 episodes. The show was an anthology of stories based on American comic strips, including '' Broom Hilda'', ''Alley Oop'', '' The Captain and the Kids'', '' Nancy'', ''Emmy Lou'' and (for one episode) ''Tumbleweeds''. ''BraveStarr'' is an American space Western animated series that aired 65 episodes from September 1987 to February 1988 in syndication. The show was created a year after Mattel had released a line of action figures. ''BraveStarr'' was the last animated series produced by Filmation and Group W Productions before Filmation shut down in 1989. Reruns of the show aired on Qubo Night Owl from 2010 to 2013, and on the Retro Television Network from 2010 to 2015. Background The idea for BraveStarr began with Tex Hex, his chief adversary.
