PAO Varda
Pamvouprasiakos Athlitikos Omilos Vardas ( el, Παμβουπρασιακός Α.Ο. Βάρδας), aka PAO Vardas, is a football club founded in 1948 in Varda. The team colors are green and white and the headquarters of the club is the stage "Gregory Kalakos" . History The Initial Name of the team was Asteras Varda and the colors were crimson, black and white. The name was changed to Pambouprasiakos Sports Group Vardas PAO Varda on 11 January 1958. PAO Vardas for the first time in its history became Champion of Elis in 1991–92 and won promotion to Delta Ethniki. PAO Vardas played in Delta Ethniki for the 2003–04 and 2004–05 seasons, and won promotion to Gamma Ethniki, but the following year was relegated and played the 2007–08 season in Delta Ethniki. Gamma Ethniki
The Gamma Ethniki ( el, Γ΄ Εθνική Ερασιτεχνική Κατηγορία, C National Amateur Division) is the third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. Although not literally national (it is divided into ''North'' and ''South'' groups), Football League 2 is considered as a national division. 2019–20 Gamma Ethniki
The 2019–20 Gamma Ethniki was the 37th season since the official establishment of the championship in 1983, but the 1st season as the fourth tier of the Greek Football. It will start on 22 September 2019. After the finish of the eight groups, the first team of each group will qualify for a playoff round of two groups, to determine which two teams will be promoted to Football League. 106 teams are divided into eight groups according to geographical criteria. Only for Group 8 after the end of the regular season will be held play-off and play-out games. The top four teams will participate in the play-off round and the first team will be the champion of the group and will be qualifying to 2019–20 Gamma Ethniki play-offs second group. Varda, Greece
Varda ( el, Βάρδα) is a town and a community in the municipal unit of Vouprasia, Elis, Greece. It was the seat of the former municipality Vouprasia. The community Varda consists of the town Varda and the villages Kougaiika, Komi, Sympanio and Psari. Varda is situated in the plains near the Ionian Sea, and east of the Kotychi lagoon. It is 2 km southeast of Manolada, 3 km southwest of Nea Manolada, 14 km northeast of Lechaina and 40 km southwest of Patras.
