BMW P48 Turbo Engine
The BMW P48 Turbo is a prototype four-stroke 2.0-litre single-turbocharged inline-4 racing engine, developed and produced by BMW Motorsport for Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. The P48 Turbo engine is full custom-built but partially borrows the cylinder blocks from BMW B48 road car engine which had a same displacement. BMW P48 Turbo is the first-ever turbocharged DTM engine to date, replacing the aging BMW P66 Series (P66/1) V8 engine after seven-years of service and conform the "Class 1" regulations that shared with Japanese Super GT under Nippon Race Engine (NRE) formula. BRM P48
The BRM P48 was a Formula One racing car raced in 1960 Formula One season, 1960. It was BRM's first rear-engined car. With rear-engined cars in the ascendancy, BRM hastily reworked the front-engined, now five-year-old BRM P25, P25. The car proved to be slow and unreliable, and was replaced by the BRM P48/57, P48/57 the following year. Development Aside from the placement of the driver and engine, the P48 was mechanically the same as the outgoing P25. It featured the same 2.5 litre straight-4 engine producing 275 horsepower. The P48 also featured a single brake disc at the rear mounted directly to the gearbox. The rear bodywork was cut off to aid cooling, which exposed the unlovingly nicknamed "bacon slicer" rear brake. During 1960 Tony Rudd designed his Mark II version of the car, with a conventional 2 disc rear brake layout, simple rear wishbone suspension and a much lower profile. Papyrus 48
Papyrus 48 (Gregory-Aland), signed by 𝔓48, is an early copy of a part of the New Testament in Greek. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Acts of the Apostles, it contains portions of Acts 23:11-29. The manuscript paleographically has been assigned to the 3rd century. Although the text of this codex is extremely small, the Greek text of this codex has been called a representative of the Western text-type. Aland placed it in Category IV. Partenavia P
Partenavia Construzioni Aeronautiche was an Italian aircraft manufacturer that specialised in general aviation. The company operated between 1957 and 1998. Founded by Professor Luigi Pascale, Partenavia became a limited company in 1959, and was acquired by the Italian state-owned aerospace firm Aeritalia during 1981. During the 1980s, the firm concentrated activity on the production of two aircraft, the P.68 twin-engined multi-mission transport and the P.66C Charlie trainer aircraft. During 1991, Partenavia was sold to ''Aercosmos''; seven years later, the firm was declared bankrupt and was dissolved. Much of its assets were acquired by rival aircraft manufacturer Vulcanair, who continued the production and development of some parts of the company's former product range. Percival (, also spelled Perceval, Parzival), alternatively called Peredur (), was one of King Arthur's legendary Knights of the Round Table. P-class Sloop
The P class, nominally described as "patrol boats", was in effect a class of British coastal sloops. Twenty-four ships to this design were ordered in May 1915 (numbered ''P.11'' to ''P.34'') and another thirty between February and June 1916 (numbered ''P.35'' to ''P.64'') under the Emergency War Programme for the Royal Navy in the First World War, although ten of the latter group were in December 1916 altered on the stocks before launch for use as decoy Q-ships and were renumbered as PC-class sloops. None were named initially, although in 1925 ''P.38'' was given the name ''Spey''.
