P. Pullaiah
P. Pullayya (also spelled P. Pullaiah; 1911–1985) was an Indian film director and producer known for his work in Telugu films. He was the recipient of Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for his contributions to Telugu cinema. Personal life Pullayya married veteran actress Santha Kumari in 1937. Together they have two daughters named, Padmavathi and Radha Film career Pullayya produced and directed many successful films under the banner Padmasree Pictures named after their daughter. ''Jayabheri'' was a 1959 Telugu musical hit film directed by him and starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Anjali Devi in lead roles. The film is based on the 1947 production by V. Shantaram, titled ''Lokshahir Ram Joshi'' in Marathi and ''Matwala Shayar Ram Joshi'' in Hindi. Nellore
Nellore is a city located on the banks of Penna River, in Nellore district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It serves as the headquarters of the district, as well as Nellore mandal and Nellore revenue division. It is the List of cities in Andhra Pradesh, fourth most populous city in the state. Bhaktha Jana
''Bhaktha Jana'' () is a 1948 Indian Tamil language film directed and produced by P. Pullaiah. The film featured C. Honnappa Bhagavathar, V. Nagayya and Santha Kumari with K. Sarangapani and B. R. Panthulu playing supporting roles. Plot Janaka (Santhakumari) has been a staunch devotee of Panduranga since her childhood days. Her mother does not approve of it as she feels such blind devotion will adversely affect her daughter's marriage prospects and her future. Frustrated by her mother's attitude, Jana leaves her home and is found by Panduranga (C. Honnappa Bhagavathar) in the guise of a hermit.
