P.O.W.- Bandi Yuddh Ke
''P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke'' is an Indian political thriller television series developed by Nikkhil Advani, and is loosely based on the Israeli drama ''Hatufim''. The series premiered 7 November 2016 on Star Plus. The show was featured at MAMI film fest followed by a talk with Gideon Raff, who developed ''Hatufim'' for Keshet and served as a consultant for this series. It went off-air after four months of its launch due to due to low viewership. The show streams on the Indian OTT platform MX Player. Plot summary After seventeen years in captivity, two soldiers, who seem to share a dark secret, return to their families. The two families try to pick up where they left off, while a government agent tries to expose their dark secret. Meanwhile, the POWs try to acclimatise to the environment that they left 17 years ago. ''Prisoners of War'' (original title in ) is an Israeli television drama series made by Keshet and originally aired on Israel's Channel 2 from March to May 2010. A second season aired in Israel from October to December 2012. The series was created by Israeli director, screenwriter and producer Gideon Raff. In 2010 it won the Israeli Academy Award for Television for Best Drama Series. In 2013, Raff stated that a third season was planned, but in 2015 stated that a third season did not look likely. Gideon "Gidi" Raff ( he, גדעון „גידי" רף; born 10 September 1972) is an Israeli film and television director, screenwriter, and writer. He is best known for his creation of the Channel 2 thriller drama series '' Prisoners of War'', from which he later co-developed the American version of the series, ''Homeland''. Early life Raff was born in Jerusalem, to a Jewish family. His father is Eitan Raff, who served as Accountant General in the Israeli Ministry of Finance, was Chairman of the Board of Bank Leumi and, , was under criminal investigation for having aided US customers in tax evasion.
