Ozerki (Historic District In Saint Petersburg)
Ozerki (russian: Озерки́ - "small lakes") is a historic district in the northern part of Saint Petersburg. It has been included in the city in 1963. The district got its name from the Suzdal lakes which are located within its territory borders. The district is currently a part of Shuvalovo-Ozerki municipal okrug within Vyborgsky District. It is served by Ozerki metro station operating since 19 August 1988. Oktyabrskay Railway station Ozerki is also located within the district. Suzdal ( rus, Суздаль, p=ˈsuzdəlʲ) is a town that serves as the administrative center of Suzdalsky District in Vladimir Oblast, Russia, which is located on the Kamenka River, north of the city of Vladimir. Vladimir is the administrative center of the surrounding oblast. As of the 2021 Census, its population was 9,286. Suzdal is one of the oldest Russian towns. In the 12th century, it became the capital of the principality, while Moscow was merely one of its subordinate settlements. Ozerki (russian: Озерки́) is a station on line 2 of the Saint Petersburg Metro, within the Ozerki historic district. Oktyabrskaya Railway or October Railway (russian: Октябрьская железная дорога) is the subsidiary of RZD, servicing railway lines in the north-west of Russia. It stretches from Moscow's Leningrad Terminal in the south to Murmansk beyond the Arctic Circle in the north. The total length of the lines is over 10,000 km. The headquarters are located in Saint Petersburg. The first railway in Russia connecting Saint Petersburg to Tsarskoye Selo, 27.9 km long, commissioned in 1837, is a part of the Oktyabrskaya Railway. Georgy Gapon
Georgy Apollonovich Gapon. ( –) was a Russian Orthodox priest and a popular working-class leader before the 1905 Russian Revolution. After he was discovered to be a police informant, Gapon was murdered by members of the Socialist Revolutionary Party. Father Gapon was mainly remembered for leading a peaceful protest for better freedom and living conditions to which the Imperial Army responded by firing upon the crowd. Early life Georgy Apollonovich Gapon was born , in the village of Beliki, Poltava Oblast, Ukraine, then part of the Russian Empire. He was the oldest son of a Cossack father and mother who hailed from the local peasantry. It is located in a historic building, Smolny and known as the Government of Saint Petersburg (Правительство Санкт-Петербурга).
