Owl (Winnie-the-Pooh)
This is a list of characters appearing in the “Winnie-the-Pooh” books and the Disney adaptations of the series. Main Winnie-the-Pooh Winnie-the-Pooh, or Pooh for short, is an anthropomorphic, soft-voiced, cuddly, loveable and quiet teddy bear and the main protagonist. Despite being naïve and slow-witted, he is a friendly, thoughtful and sometimes insightful character who is always willing to help his friends and try his best. A prime motivation is his love for honey, which quite often leads to trouble. In the books, Pooh is a talented poet, and the stories are frequently punctuated by his poems and "hums". He is humble about his slow-wittedness, but comfortable with his creative gifts. Winnie-the-Pooh
Winnie-the-Pooh, also called Pooh Bear and Pooh, is a fictional Anthropomorphism, anthropomorphic teddy bear created by English author A. A. Milne and English illustrator E. H. Shepard. The first collection of stories about the character was the book ''Winnie-the-Pooh (book), Winnie-the-Pooh'' (1926), and this was followed by ''The House at Pooh Corner'' (1928). Milne also included a poem about the bear in the children's verse book ''When We Were Very Young'' (1924) and many more in ''Now We Are Six'' (1927). All four volumes were illustrated by E. H. Ray Erlenborn
Ray Erlenborn (January 21, 1915 – June 4, 2007) was an American vaudevillian actor and sound effects artist. He is also known to audiences as the voice of Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh Discovers the Seasons. Also did sound effects for Carol Burnett, Maude, Sonny and Cher and the original Dr. Dolittle animal sound effects. Dallas McKennon
Dallas Raymond McKennon (July 19, 1919 – July 14, 2009), sometimes credited as Dal McKennon, was an American film, television and voice actor, who had a career lasting over 50 years. During World War II he served in the Army Signal Corps and was stationed in Alaska. Career Born near La Grande, Oregon, McKennon's best-known voice roles were Gumby for Art Clokey, Archie Andrews in several different '' Archie'' series for Filmation, and the primary voice of Buzz Buzzard in the ''Woody Woodpecker'' cartoons. Junius Matthews
Junius Conyers Matthews (June 12, 1890 – January 18, 1978) was an American actor in films, theater, radio and television. He was the voice of Archimedes the Owl in Disney's '' The Sword in the Stone'' in 1963. He was also the original voice of Rabbit in the ''Winnie the Pooh'' franchise from 1966 to 1977. ''The Book of Pooh'' is an American children's television series that aired on the Playhouse Disney block on Disney Channel. It is the third television series to feature the characters from the Disney franchise based on A. A. Milne's works; the other two were the live action ''Welcome to Pooh Corner'' (to which this series bears resemblance) and the animated ''The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh'' which ran from 1988 to 1991. William Frank Ryan (May 21, 1949 – November 19, 2021) was an American voice actor, musician and singer. He provided the voice of Petrie in the 1988 animated film ''The Land Before Time''. Tiger
