Ovum Recordings is a house music record label founded by Josh Wink and King Britt in October 1994. It is based in Philadelphia. The label celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2014 with a world tour putting on a series of club events plus a special remix of the Josh Wink classic "Are You There?" Artists The label initially gained media attention though Wink's own releases (through pseudonyms such as Winx and Size 9) though releases from other influential producers soon followed, including tracks from house music pioneers DJ Pierre and Lil Louis. (Louis is credited on Josh Wink on "How's Your Evening So Far?", a track based on a sample of Lil Louis' classic French Kiss.) DJ Sneak
Carlos Sosa (born November 5, 1969), known as DJ Sneak, is a Puerto Rican-born American DJ and record producer raised in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He is noted as being one of the second wave of Chicago house producers, (alongside Derrick Carter, Cajmere/Green Velvet, Gemini, James Curd and Paul Johnson) as well as a member of the vanguard of late-1990s United States house producers. Biography In 1983, Sneak moved to Chicago from Puerto Rico, where his early musical experiences and influences were rooted in salsa, merengue and Latin orchestras. In Chicago, Sneak found inspiration in underground house music, warehouse parties and "old school" mix tapes from the early pioneers, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Ralphi Rosario, Steve Hurley and local radio station shows played on WBMX. Tom Middleton
Tom Middleton (born 18 August 1971) is a British electronic recording artist, sound designer, composer, music producer, remixer and DJ. His solo albums include '' Lifetracks'' (2007), ''Glasstracks'' (2011) and ''Sleep Better'' (2018). Middleton and Mark Pritchard have collaborated under various names including Global Communication. Biography A classically trained pianist and cellist, Middleton worked in the early 1990s with Richard D. James (with whom he shares the same birthdate), co-producing "En-Trance to Exit" on the ''Analogue Bubblebath'' EP for Mighty Force Records. Stefan Goldmann
Stefan Goldmann (born 1978) is a German-Bulgarian DJ and composer of electronic music. His work has been described as intelligent minimal techno. Loco Dice (born Yassine Ben Achour on 10 August 1974) is a German DJ and electronic music producer born and based in Düsseldorf, Germany. He is best known for his work in the house and tech house genres and his residencies at Ibiza nightclubs ''Space'' and ''Hi Ibiza''. Background and career Loco Dice was born to Tunisian parents, who immigrated to Dusseldorf, where he was born and raised. Jimpster
Jimpster (a.k.a. Audiomontage, a.k.a. Franc Spangler, real name Jamie Odell) is a British deep house producer and DJ. Together with Tom Roberts, he founded the labels Freerange Records and Delusions of Grandeur. While producing his own tracks and playing live shows, Jimpster has also worked on remixes, including a remix of the song 400 years by Bob Marley. History Born into a musical family, Jimpster was influenced and encouraged by his father Roger Odell who is the drummer in the jazz-funk band Shakatak. Ian Pooley
Ian Pooley (born Ian Pinnekamp in 1973) is a German record producer and DJ. While incorporating samples of various musical genres, Pooley's creations are usually classified as house or tech house with Brazilian influence. Biography Pooley's music career began in 1993. Fascinated by producers in Chicago and Detroit, he brought his first machines and immediately started writing house and techno music, which kickstarted a multi-decade-spanning career playing to hugely diverse audiences. Eddie Lee "Boo" Williams (born June 22, 1979) is a former American football tight end who played for the New Orleans Saints from 2001 to 2004. He played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks as a wide receiver.
