Outgrow
Outgrow is the fourth Japanese studio album (ninth overall) by South Korean singer BoA. It was released on February 15, 2006, and features the singles " Do the Motion", " Make a Secret", "Dakishimeru", and " Everlasting". The album also features the track " First Snow" from BoA's special digital single, "Merry Christmas from BoA". Several of the album's songs have either been written or composed by BoA herself. The album comes in two editions, a limited CD+DVD edition, and a regular (unlimited) CD-only edition. Both editions come with different covers (as shown on the table on the right), and the CD features 13 tracks, including a bonus track of " First Snow" alongside 5 new songs. The limited edition CD+DVD version includes a DVD with 5 video clips (4 of which are of all of the music videos from the featured singles and an additional special "behind the scenes" clip). The discography of South Korean musician BoA consists of twenty-one studio albums (three of which were reissued), eight compilation albums, three extended plays (EPs) and numerous singles. BoA debuted as a musician through South Korean talent agency SM Entertainment at the age of 13 with the album ''ID; Peace B'' (2000), followed by her debut in Japan with Avex Trax in 2001. BoA has seen commercial success in both South Korea and Japan. Kwon Bo-ah (; born November 5, 1986), known professionally as BoA, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer and actress. One of the most successful and influential Korean entertainers, she has been dubbed the " Queen of K-pop." Do The Motion
"Do the Motion" is BoA's 15th Japanese CD single (and first of 2005), and third highest selling. This was also BoA's first number one single, and made her the first non-Japanese Asian singer to top the Oricon charts in over 21 years. This single scored commercial endorsements for every song on the single (excluding the TV Mixes) and is BoA's highest selling single of 2005. This was also the first single for her sixth Japanese album, Outgrow. Dakishimeru
is BoA's 17th Japanese single. The title track was unexpectedly previewed at the Lipton event on October 15, and the song was reminiscent of some of her earlier songs such as Valenti (with the same writer and producer). This was the third single for BoA's then-upcoming album, Outgrow. ''Made in Twenty (20)'' is the fifth Japanese studio album (tenth overall) by South Korean singer BoA. It was released on January 17, 2007, by Avex Trax. The title of the album refers to the fact that this is her first album since leaving her teenage years and her first album made in her 20s - specifically, when she was twenty years old. The album debuted with first-week sales of 182,009 copies, debuting at #1. Commercial performance ''Made in Twenty (20)'' debuted at the top of the Oricon Daily Album Charts and held the position for all seven days of the week, until debuting at number one at the Oricon Weekly Album Charts. Make A Secret
"Make a Secret" is BoA's sixteenth Japanese single, and fifth lowest selling. The title track was used for a Kose Fasio commercial, and although the A-side track, "Make a Secret", was promoted, the B-side, "Long Time No See", won more acclaim and praise from fans. After the eyebrow-raising performance of her Do the Motion single, this single came as a huge disappointment to fans and staff alike. Overview Released on August 31, 2005, this was BoA's fourth lowest selling single until Dakishimeru was released in November. This single got little to no promotion, and the commercial for KOSE Fasio was rarely shown on television. Everlasting (BoA Song)
"Everlasting" is BoA's 18th Japanese single and 4th Korean single. The leading track "Everlasting" is a ballad, and the B-side track, "Soundscape" is a mid-tempo song for Japanese version and "People say..." for the Korean version B-side track. This single also contains the first "classical version" (orchestral composition remake) of any BoA songs thus far, "Everlasting: Classical Ver.". Commercial endorsements "Everlasting" was used as the network advertisement for the online Japanese music giant, music.jp; it was also used as the ending theme for the TV Asahi drama "Gate of Miracles". , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. It started as, which was founded by Sōkō Koike in November 1967 and became known for its music charts. Oricon Inc. was originally set up as a subsidiary of Original Confidence and took over the latter's Oricon record charts in April 2002.
