Our Sir Vancelot
Our Sir Vancelot (foaled 11 November 1990) is a New Zealand standardbred stallion. Known as Sir Vancelot in New Zealand, he won a record three straight Inter Dominion finals, 1997, 1998 and 1999. This is a record that was equalled in 2008 by Blacks A Fake. He was inducted into the Inter Dominion Hall of Fame. In addition to the three Inter Dominions, he also won the 1997 Miracle Mile Pace. Over his career, he won 48 races, from 97 starts for a total prize money earnings of $2,197,990. Overtrick
Overtrick was a champion U.S. standardbred racehorse who was memorable for his breaking of many existing world records and his classic duels with champion pacer Meadow Skipper. Overtrick raced against crack pacers Meadow Skipper and Country Don in all three legs of the 1963 harness racing Triple Crown. In the first leg, Meadow Skipper thumped Overtrick in a track record time. In the second race of the series, the Little Brown Jug, Overtrick turned the tables on Meadow Skipper beating him in second with Country Don third, and at the same time breaking the world record. Bay is a hair coat color of horses, characterized by a reddish-brown or brown body color with a black point coloration on the mane, tail, ear edges, and lower legs. Miracle Mile Pace
The Miracle Mile is an Australian harness racing event for Standardbred pacers that was held at Harold Park Racetrack each November until 2008 when the race was switched to Menangle Park Paceway. Prize money has long been among that of Australia's leading harness races and has often included bonuses for speed. History The race was held twice in 1986 due to a change of dates from January to November/December, and again in 1996 due to the postponement of the 1995 race caused by track redesign and construction. When the new track opened in 1996 the race distance was changed from one mile (1609m) to 1760m. The 2007 running was abandoned due to the Equine Influenza outbreak. The Inter Dominion Hall of Fame is an organization created to recognise and honour those whose achievements have enriched the world of the Harness racing industry, particularly in the Inter Dominion series. The hall of fame was created to honor the standardbred annual races of the Inter Dominion which includes the Inter Dominion Pacing Championship and the Inter Dominion Trotting Championship. The races are held in a rotating cycle in Australia and New Zealand. The 2020 race is being held in New South Wales. The championship is one of the most prominent harness racing series in Australasia.
