Denis Côté
Denis Côté (born November 16, 1973) is an independent filmmaker and producer living in Quebec, of Brayon origin. His experimental films have been shown at major film festivals around the world. Life and career Côté was born in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, Canada. He studied film at Collège Ahuntsic in Montreal and founded nihilproductions around 1994. He made a number of short films, including ''Kosovolove'' (2000) and ''La sphatte'' (2003). He has also been a film critic on radio, at ici magazine from 1999 to 2005, and vice-president of the Quebec association of film critics (''Association québécoise des critiques de cinéma'', or AQCC). Rafaël Ouellet is a Canadian screenwriter and film director from Dégelis, Quebec. He is most noted for his 2012 film '' Camion'', for which he received Jutra Award nominations for Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Editing at the 15th Jutra Awards in 2013. Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma
The Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma (formerly known as Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois) is a festival created in 1982 to celebrate the cinematographic production of Quebec, Canada. The goal of the festival is to promote the Cinema of Quebec and its makers in order to support its culture and stimulate its industry. It occurs in February, formerly coinciding with the ceremony awarding the Prix Iris. Although it serves as the premiere venue for some films, it also provides a repeat screening for many films that were already released in the previous year, in order to ensure that the festival and its awards are presenting a thorough and representative portrait of the province's film industry.
