Rafaël Ouellet
Rafaël Ouellet is a Canadian screenwriter and film director from Dégelis, Quebec. He is most noted for his 2012 film '' Camion'', for which he received Jutra Award nominations for Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Editing at the 15th Jutra Awards in 2013. He launched his career as a cameraman, editor and director for MusiquePlus from 1998 to 2004. He received a Juno Award nomination for Music DVD of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2004, for his work on Our Lady Peace's concert DVD ''Our Lady Peace Live in Alberta''. Dégelis
Dégelis is a city in Témiscouata Regional County Municipality within the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec. Its population in the Canada 2011 Census was 3,051. The Madawaska River flows from Lake Témiscouata, through Degelis, to join the Saint John River at to the East at Edmundston, New Brunswick. Toponymy Located on the banks of the Madawaska River (Saint John River), the city owes its name to a physical phenomenon: a zone of the river located in front the village, that never freezes. A ''Dégelis'', in Old French, means a zone on the water free of ice (which is the phenomenon observed in Dégelis), a local winter thaw (no apparent reason), meaning an opening in the ice during the seasonal thawing. The area corresponding to Dégelis is named ''Dégelé'' (English: ''thawed'') in a report by Joseph Bouchette in 1815. The spelling at the time varies considerably. CIMT-DT
CIMT-DT, virtual and VHF digital channel 9, is a TVA- affiliated television station licensed to Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada. Owned by Télé Inter-Rives, it is part of a twinstick with Noovo affiliate CFTF-DT (channel 29). Both stations share studios on Rue de la Chute and Rue Frontenac in Rivière-du-Loup, while CIMT-DT's transmitter is located near Chemin du Mont Bleu in Picard. History The station was launched on September 17, 1978. The station is part of a rare "triple-stick", owned by Télé Inter-Rives, which also owns CKRT and CFTF. Télé Inter-Rives also owns the TVA affiliate in Carleton-sur-Mer, CHAU-DT. The latter station picks up the TVA signal from CIMT, and the two stations' logos are shown in promos. Gurov And Anna
''Gurov and Anna'' is a Canadian drama film, directed by Rafaël Ouellet and released in 2014. The film stars Andreas Apergis as Ben, a literature professor in Montreal who is obsessed with Anton Chekhov's short story "The Lady with the Dog", and begins trying to act it out in his real life by commencing a love affair with his student Mercedes (Sophie Desmarais) in which he can be the Gurov to her Anna. The film went into production in March 2014. It was both Ouellet's first English-language film, and his first time directing a screenplay he had not written himself. The film premiered in October 2014 at the 19th Busan International Film Festival, and had its Canadian premiere later in the month at the Festival du nouveau cinéma, before going into commercial release in early 2015.
