Otto Röhr
Franz Hermann Otto Röhr (22 November 1891 – 8 January 1972) was a German track and field athlete who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. He was born in Magdeburg and died in Arnsberg Arnsberg (; wep, Arensperg) is a town in the Hochsauerland county, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the location of the Regierungsbezirk Arnsberg administration and one of the three local administration offices of the Hoch .... In 1912 he finished 13th in the high jump competition. In the decathlon competition he retired after four event. He was also a member of the German relay team which was disqualified in the 4x100 metre relay competition after a fault with its second baton passing. The men's decathlon was a track and field athletics event held as part of the athletics at the 1912 Summer Olympics programme. The competition was held from Saturday, July 13, 1912, to Monday, July 15, 1912. It was the first time the decathlon, which had been introduced in 1911, was held at the Olympics; a different ten-event competition, the all-around, had been contested in St. Louis in 1904.
