Ottawa West—Nepean (french: Ottawa-Ouest—Nepean) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1997. Geography The district includes the neighbourhoods of Shirleys Bay, Crystal Beach, Rocky Point, Bayshore, Britannia, Britannia Bay, Lincoln Heights, Whitehaven, Glabar Park, Queensway, Kenson Park, Redwood, Graham Park, Qualicum, Leslie Park, Briargreen, Centrepointe, Woodroffe, Bel-Air Park, Bel-Air Heights, Braemar Park, Copeland Park, Navaho, City View, Ryan Farm, Skyline, Fisher Heights, Parkwood Hills, Carleton Heights, Fisher Glen, Borden Farm, Crestview, Meadowlands, Woodpark, and the western half of Carlington in the City of Ottawa. Anita Vandenbeld
Anita M. Vandenbeld (born December 3, 1971) is a Canadians, Canadian politician, who was elected to represent the electoral district (Canada), riding of Ottawa West—Nepean for the Liberal Party of Canada in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2015 Canadian federal election. She was re-elected in the same riding in 2019 Canadian federal election, 2019, and re-elected in 2021. Vandenbeld currently serves as Parliamentary secretary to the Minister of International Development (Canada), Minister of International Development. Education and early life Vandenbeld was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, in the neighbourhood of Bowness, Calgary, Bowness. Copeland Park (Ottawa)
Copeland Park (French: ''Parc Copeland'') is a neighbourhood located in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Canada. It is bounded to the west by Agincourt Road, to the south by Baseline Road, to the east by Clyde Avenue and to the north by the Central Experimental Farm Pathway. The community was built in the late 1950s and early 1960s by A.B. Taylor Construction Ltd. The first home was built in 1956. In the 1970s, a 21-storey high-rise called the Castle Hill was built at the corner of Castle Hill Crescent and Clyde Avenue. The high-rise is owned by Minto. During that same decade more townhouses and three high-rises were built on Baseline Road at Clyde Avenue. The neighbourhood is mostly surrounded by woods. Braemar Park
Braemar Park (French: ''Parc Braemar'') is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the north by the Queensway, east on Maitland Drive, south by the Central Experimental Pathway and west by J. H. Putman Public School. Homes in the neighbourhood were built between the late 1950s and early 1960s. The initial development was on Riddell Ave South, with the neighbourhood nearly fully built by 1965. Most of the houses are middle- high class families. On Riddell Street South, there are some townhouses. Originally, Riddell Street started on Carling Avenue in Glabar Park. When highway 417 was built in 1967, the road split up and was called north and south. The road ended on Garfield Drive. When the neighbourhood was under construction, it was included in the Bel-Air-Copeland Park Community Association, a homeowners association formed in 1965. Bel-Air Heights (also spelled Bel Air Heights; French: ''Hauteurs Bel Air'') is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by Agincourt Road, on the south by Baseline Road, on the west by Navaho Drive and on the north by the Central Experimental Farm Pathway. The neighbourhood is mostly a middle class housing neighbourhood. Most of the homes were built in 1959 and 1960. Construction began by the Campeau Corporation in June 1958. There are a few apartments on Baseline and Navaho that were built later on. The neighbourhood has three parks; Agincourt Park, Ainsley Park and Navaho Park. For schools there is Agincourt Public School, J. H. Putman Public School, Charlotte Lemieux French School and Woodroffe High School. The population of the area is roughly 2500. Bel-Air Park (also spelled Bel Air Park) is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by the Experimental Farm Pathway, on the south by Baseline Road, on the west by Woodroffe Avenue and on the north by the Queensway. Centrepointe is a neighbourhood in College Ward in the west end of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was formerly part of the city of Nepean, Ontario, Nepean. It is a newer residential subdivision in the west/central part of Ottawa, developed from 1984 onwards, and is informally bounded by Baseline Road (Ottawa), Baseline Road to the north, Woodroffe Avenue (Ottawa), Woodroffe Avenue to the east, the Canadian National Railway, CN railroad to the south, and the Briargreen subdivision and Forest Ridge Apartments to the west.
