Oswaldo Ramsés Navarro ah-vahr'-o(born October 2, 1984 in Villa de Cura, Venezuela) is a former Major League Baseball shortstop. He was signed by the Seattle Mariners as a non-drafted free agent out of Venezuela on August 12, . Career Navarro was a September call-up for the Mariners in . In his first at-bat, he recorded a hit on a bunt. He was granted free agency in 2009 and signed a minor league contract with the Houston Astros on December 8, 2009. Navarro was called up to the Astros on May 20, 2010 following the release of Kaz Matsui. On September 16, Navarro was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for Enerio Del Rosario. After clearing waivers, Navarro was outrighted to the Astros' AAA affiliate. On March 17, 2012, Navarro signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets. Navarro spent the year at Double-A Binghamton before retiring. The Round Rock Express are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. They are located in Round Rock, Texas, and play their home games at the Dell Diamond. The team is named for Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, who was nicknamed "The Ryan Express." Ryan, along with son Reid Ryan and Don Sanders make up the team's ownership group, Ryan Sanders Baseball. The Express were established as a Double-A team of the Texas League (TL) in 2000. They won the Texas League championship in 2000. Round Rock was replaced by a Triple-A Pacific Coast League team in 2005. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are an American Minor League Baseball team based in Binghamton, New York. The team, which plays in the Eastern League, is the Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets major-league club. The Rumble Ponies play in Mirabito Stadium, located in Binghamton.
