The Ostioneros de Guaymas was a professional baseball club based in Guaymas, a city located in the southwest part of the state of Sonora, Mexico. Guaymas
Guaymas () is a city in Guaymas Municipality, in the southwest part of the state of Sonora, in northwestern Mexico. The city is south of the state capital of Hermosillo, and from the U.S. border. The municipality is located on the Gulf of California and the western edge of the Sonoran Desert and has a hot, dry climate and of beaches. The municipality's formal name is Guaymas de Zaragoza and the city's formal name is the Heroica Ciudad de Guaymas. The Mexican Pacific League (), known as Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico for sponsorship reasons or simply LMP for its acronym in Spanish, is a professional baseball winter league based in Northern Mexico. The ten-team regular season schedule runs from October to December and is followed by a playoff series in January to determine the league champion. The league's champion takes part in the Caribbean Series each year, representing Mexico. Ronnie Camacho
Ronaldo Camacho Durán (born 26 October 1935) is a retired Mexican professional baseball first baseman and manager. Camacho played in the Mexican League, the highest level of professional baseball in Mexico, the Mexican Pacific League and in the minor leagues. He had a brief career as politician in the eighties as municipal president of his hometown. Career Camacho was born on 26 October 1935 in Empalme, Sonora, Mexico. He started his professional career in 1953 playing for the Águilas de Mexicali in the Mexican winter league. He also played minor league baseball with the Fresno Cardinals from 1953 to 1955. Isidro Monge Pedroza (born April 11, 1951) is a Mexican retired Major League Baseball relief pitcher who pitched from 1975 to 1984. He played for the California Angels, Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers, all of the American League and the Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres, both of the National League. Career Born in Agua Prieta, the Mexican state of Sonora, Monge moved to Brawley, California at age 16 and attended Brawley Union High School. He was drafted in the 24th round (562nd overall) of the 1970 June Baseball Draft by the California Angels. Andrés Mora Ibarra (May 25, 1955 – June 12, 2015) was a Mexican professional baseball outfielder. Enrique Romo Navarro (born July 15, 1947) is a Mexican former professional baseball relief pitcher who played for the Seattle Mariners (1977–78) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1979–82). Romo batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Santa Rosalía, Baja California Sur, and is the younger brother of Vicente Romo, who also pitched in the majors.
