Oscar Egede-Nissen
Oscar Egede-Nissen (March 7, 1903 – November 1, 1976) was a Norwegian actor. He appeared in dozens of films from his debut in 1936 onward, his last being '' An-Magritt'' in 1969. Egede-Nissen was an unruly child, and he was sent to the alternative Odenwald School in Germany. He came home and started high school, but soon left again, this time on a long trip to South America. He went whaling and spent time in Buenos Aires. He ended up as an illegal immigrant to the United States, where he became a professional soldier and flew to the Philippines. There he had a falling out with a lieutenant, and he was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. With the help of connections in Norway, including Prime Minister Johan Ludwig Mowinckel, he was pardoned after 14 months. When he returned to Norway this time, his own abilities—and the family's connections—in theater became decisive for his future. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Den Nationale Scene ( en, National Theater) is the largest theatre in Bergen, Norway. Den Nationale Scene is also one of the oldest permanent theatres in Norway. History Opened under the name '' Det Norske Theater'' in 1850, the theatre has roots dating back to its founding on the initiative of the Norwegian violinist Ole Bull. Tancred Ibsen
Tancred Ibsen (11 July 1893 – 4 December 1978) was a Norwegian military officer, aviator, film director and screenwriter. Background Ibsen was the son of Sigurd Ibsen and Bergljot Bjørnson. He was the grandson of both Henrik Ibsen and Nobel laureate Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. He married dancer and actress Lillebil Ibsen in 1919, and remained married to her until his death in 1978. His son Tancred Ibsen, Jr. (1921–2015) was a Norwegian diplomat. Aviation career In 1917, Tancred Ibsen started pilot training at Kjeller Airport and began his career in the Norwegian Army Air Service. He started the first civilian active airplane company, ''A/S Aero'' in 1920, financed by his uncle, businessman Einar Bjørnson, and two shipowners. ''Hans Nielsen Hauge'' is a Norwegian film from 1961 directed by Kåre Bergstrøm. It is a dramatization of the life of the lay minister Hans Nielsen Hauge (1771–1824). The film received a lukewarm reception from ''Verdens Gangs reviewer, who gave it three out of six stars. Plot The film opens in 1804, when Crown Prince Regent Frederick is ruling Denmark–Norway. The Royal Danish Chancellery has issued an arrest warrant for Hans Nielsen Hauge. The arrest warrant is sent to all the county governors in Norway, and Hauge is taken to Christiania in irons. The film follows the trial against Hauge. An impression of his past life and work is given in retrospect. The case against Hauge lasted many years because Copenhagen found no reason to hurry. Arne Skouen (18 October 1913 – 24 May 2003) was a Norwegian journalist, author, film director and film producer. Biography Arne Skouen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. His parents were Peder Nikolai Skouen (1883-1978) and Jenny Emanuelson (1883-1975). He graduated at Hegdehaugen School in 1933. He had three distinct career careers: journalist, author and filmmaker, partly at the same time. He was a journalist at ''Dagbladet'' from 1935 to 1941.
