Os Fantoches
''Os Fantoches'' (English: ''The Puppets'') is a 1967 Brazilian telenovela created by Ivani Ribeiro, and starring Átila Iório. Plot Aníbal (Átila Iório) is a millionaire, knowing that he is going to die, invites a group of relatives and friends to stay at his luxury hotel. They are all linked to a mystery of their past. Some will be rewarded with inclusion in the will; Others will be punished. To know who was his real friend and who harmed him, Aníbal starts to manipulate everyone, as if they were puppets. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Vera Nunes
Vera Nunes, stage name of Isaura Nunes Martins Henriques (12 August 1928 – 2 February 2021), was a Brazilian actress. Biography Henriques studied accounting in her youth, although she had a passion for the arts. She became a radiographer at the age of 13 for the Ministry of Education alongside José Vasconcelos and Fernanda Montenegro. She spent some time in Argentina to shoot ''No me digas adiós'' and returned to Brazil to shoot ''Falta alguém no manicômio''. She also opened a theatre company at the Teatro Cultura Artística in São Paulo. Nunes was hired by TV Paulista in 1951, which would soon end her film career. She last appeared in a film in the 1957 flick ''Dorinha no soçaite'', and subsequently focused on television. She married actor Altamiro Martins in 1961, who died in 2005.
