Orre, Rogaland
Orre is a village and parish in Klepp municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located just southwest of the lake Orrevatnet, between the lake and the ocean. Orre is the location of the Orrestranda beach, one of the longest sand beaches in Norway. The area is very flat, and it is primarily used for agriculture. The Old Orre Church, built in the 1200s, is located in Orre. Orre Church
Orre Church ( no, Orre kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Klepp Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Pollestad. It is the main church for the Orre parish which is part of the Jæren prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The gray, stone church was built in a long church style in 1950 using designs by the architects Gustav Helland and Endre Årreberg. The church seats about 250 people. Orrevatnet is a lake in the municipality of Klepp in Rogaland county, Norway. The lake is the largest lake in Jæren. The lake sits about above sea level and it is situated along the seashore. The wide sandy beach strip of land that separates the lake from the sea is home to one of Norway's longest sand beaches, Orrestranda. Jæren is a traditional district in Rogaland county, Norway. The other districts in Rogaland are Dalane, Ryfylke, and Haugalandet. Jæren is one of the 15 districts that comprise Western Norway.
