Oregonians In Action
Oregonians in Action (OIA) is an organization in Oregon, United States that seeks to reduce land use regulation. There are four legal entities that have used this name, but the one that is most active as of 2006 is the political action committee. Its committee number is 2793. It has existed since 1989, but gained prominence when it took over the campaign for Ballot Measure 7 in 2000. This group also backed Measure 37 in 2004 which—similar to Measure 7—required the government to reimburse property owners whose property value is negatively impacted by land use regulation. OIA also supported Measure 39 in 2006, which restricted the government's power of eminent domain. David Hunnicutt, President of OIA, was chief petitioner for Oregon Ballot Measure 2 (2000). Oregon () is a U.S. state, state in the Pacific Northwest region of the Western United States. Oregon Legislative Assembly
The Oregon Legislative Assembly is the state legislature for the U.S. state of Oregon. The Legislative Assembly is bicameral, consisting of an upper and lower house: the Senate, whose 30 members are elected to serve four-year terms; and the House of Representatives, with 60 members elected to two-year terms. There are no term limits for either house in the Legislative Assembly. Each Senate district is composed of exactly two House districts: Senate District 1 contains House Districts 1 and 2, SD 2 contains HD 3 and HD 4, and so on. Fred Girod
Fred Frank Girod (born 1951) is an American politician and dentist from Oregon. He is a member of the Oregon State Senate representing the 9th district, which covers the mid-Willamette Valley, and previously served as the Senate minority leader. He was later succeeded by incumbent minority leader Tim Knopp. Early life and education Girod was born in Salem, Oregon. He graduated from Stayton High School in Stayton, Oregon. Sal Esquivel (born May 19, 1948) is an American businessman, real estate broker and politician from Oregon. Esquivel is a former Republican member of Oregon House of Representatives and senator. Ted Ferrioli (born February 15, 1951) is an American politician who served as an Oregon state senator from 1997 until 2017. Neighborhood Preservation Committee (Oregon)
The Neighborhood Preservation Committee is a political action committee in Portland, Oregon, United States. It was founded by Kate Scheile, a 2002 candidate for President of Metro (Oregon regional government). The Oregon Secretary of State's web site lists two committees with identical names; their committee numbers are 5043 and 5148. Neighborhood Preservation Committee published an argument in support of Oregon Ballot Measure 2 (2000), opposing urban density.
