Order Of Ushakov
The Order of Ushakov (russian: орден Ушакова) is a military decoration of the Russian Federation named in honour of admiral Fyodor Ushakov (1744–1817) who never lost a battle and was proclaimed patron saint of the Russian Navy. It is bestowed to command grade naval officers for outstanding leadership. The order was established in two classes during World War II by decision of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 3, 1944. The idea was given to Joseph Stalin by admiral Nikolai Gerasimovich Kuznetsov in the summer of 1943. Following the 1991 dissolution of the USSR, the Order of Ushakov was retained unchanged by Decision of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation 2557-I of March 20, 1992 but it was not awarded in this form. The Order of Suvorov () is a military decoration of the Russian Federation named in honor of Russian Generalissimo Prince Alexander Suvorov (1729–1800). History The Order of Suvorov was originally a Soviet award established on July 29, 1942 (during World War II) by decision of the Presidium of Supreme Soviet of the USSR. It was created to reward senior army personnel for exceptional leadership in combat operations. The Order of Suvorov was divided into three different classes: 1st class, 2nd class, and 3rd class. Georgi Zhukov became the first recipient of the Order of Suvorov 1st class on January 28, 1943. The Order 1st class was awarded to army commanders for exceptional leadership of combat operations. Stepan Kucherov
Stepan Grigorievich Kucherov (russian: Степан Григорьевич Кучеров) ( – 30 March 1973) was a Soviet naval officer. Biography Kucherov was born in Olshanka in what is now the Arkadaksky District of Saratov Oblast. After joining the Soviet Navy in 1922, he advanced through the ranks and held various commands, including Chief of Staff of the Northern Fleet (August 1940), Commander of the White Sea Flotilla (February 1943), and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Soviet Navy (1944–45). In this capacity he participated in the conferences at Yalta and Potsdam. After the war he commanded the Caspian Flotilla and from 1950 took up a series of teaching and administrative positions at the Military Academy. He retired in 1967. Kucherov received several decorations, including two of the highest honors in the Soviet Navy: the Order of Nakhimov and the Order of Ushakov First Class. Arseniy Golovko
Arseny Grigoryevich Golovko (; 10 June 1906 – 17 May 1962) was a Soviet admiral, whose naval service extended from the 1920s through the early Cold War. Service He entered the Soviet Navy in 1925 and graduated in 1928 from the M.V. Frunze Higher Naval School in Leningrad. After that he served in various Fleet assignments. In 1937 and 1938 he took part in the Spanish Civil War on the side of the Republicans. After his return to the USSR he attended the naval warfare school. Gordey Ivanovich Levchenko (russian: Гордей Иванович Левченко, 1 February 1897 – 26 May 1981) was a Soviet naval commander and admiral from 1944. Born at Dubrovka, Ukraine, a part of the Russian Empire, in 1897, Levchenko joined the Imperial Russian Navy in 1913.
