Orde Ballantyne (born 22 January 1962) is a Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vincentian athlete, who competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Career Ballantyne became the first Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vincentian to win a gold medal at the CARIFTA Games when competing in the shot put at the 1981 CARIFTA Games held in Nassau, Bahamas, Nassau, Bahamas. Six years later Ballantyne competed at the first ever IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics held in Indianapolis, United States, he entered the 1987 IAAF World Indoor Championships – Men's 60 metres, 60 metres and finished fourth in his heat in a time off 7.05 seconds which was a new national record, but still wasn't fast enough to qualify for the next round, he also entered the 1987 IAAF World Indoor Championships – Men's long jump, long jump but didn't make any legitimate jumps so didn't receive an official ranking. Orde Wingate
Major General Orde Charles Wingate, (26 February 1903 – 24 March 1944) was a senior British Army officer known for his creation of the Chindit deep-penetration missions in Japanese-held territory during the Burma Campaign of the Second World War. Wingate was an exponent of unconventional military thinking and the value of surprise tactics. Assigned to Mandatory Palestine, he became a supporter of Zionism, and set up a joint British-Jewish counter-insurgency unit. Under the patronage of the area commander Archibald Wavell, Wingate was given increasing latitude to put his ideas into practice during the Second World War. He created units in Abyssinia and Burma. At a time when Britain was in need of morale-boosting generalship, Wingate attracted British Prime Minister Winston Churchill's attention with a self-reliant aggressive philosophy of war, and was given resources to stage a large-scale operation.
